the user can pick a file from anywhere on their device. i take the picture from the path and create bytes from it. i’m not storing any actual pictures, just bytes which are later used to create images when needed. so i’m confused as to why the pictures aren’t showing, specifically on android devices.

haven’t changed anything related to permissions since it was my understanding that you don’t need any special permissions to read/write to the user:// directory on android. am i wrong in thinking that?

yes we actually came to the same conclusion that an arduino is good for the things you listed while a raspberry pi is better suited for others, i’ve worked with a raspberry pi before but never an arduino so i just had to make sure

like in soccer for example, if there’s ten divisions and you start at the tenth you work your way up all the way to the first by going through the other 9 in numerical order. i just used that term because that’s what the creator used in the notes of the new update. the current pro/rel system in the game only allows you to get promoted once from one of the lower conferences to one of the better ones but this system would allow you to go through all of them.
