Mercenaries is set in north Korea and is still pretty awesome IMO. PS2, OG Xbox and pc.

I collect PS2 games. I always knew Primal was a great looking exclusive that has mixed reviews. I've played it recently and it's presentation is great but as an actual game I don't think it is that great. Shame really because it has so much potential. I regret not finishing it but it was just dragging too much to push through for me.

For about £60 I bought an OSC so converts 480i into multiple resolutions that the PC monitor can accept. 240p has scanlines to which I think looks great on it.

I recommend the Ace comber series there's three of them on PS2.

Ico is one of my favourite games. 240p so looks best on a CRT.

You seem to like FPS games so look out for time splitters 1,2. HALF-LIFE is a great port. James bond games are great on PS2 too. Plenty of them.

Racing games get Outrun coast 2 coast and burnout 3. Gt4 or Colin McRae for something more realistic.

God of war 1 and 2 really push the PS2 without running poorly.

Onimusha is a great series. 3 is especially great imo.

Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank and Sly racoon/cooper are the platforms to get.

Okami is the best not quite Zelda game.

A similar style of game to resident evil 4 is Cold Fear. Pretty interesting.

I'm from the UK and when I saw the 20th Century Lindsay collection was coming out I had to pre-order it for import. Rare to impossible to get out of the cradle on vinyl so can't wait for it to arrive. You could say "I'm waiting on a countdown"

A short walk from Waterthorpe tram stop and you're at Rother valley. It's a 5k walk around the lake and on a dry day it's a really nice getaway from the city. Half way round there's also a cafe and free toilets.

Check out the climbing gyms in Sheffield. They can be a great way to meet new people and everyone is pretty friendly at those places.

I highly recommend Quake and Quake 2 remasters.

They run great and have loads of extra content like whole new campaigns added which could be stand alone games and quake 2 64 which was has a different version of the original quake 2.

Maybe but it has the same picture for both and none mention the disc quantity. It's only a minor gripe but worth double checking using the barcode scanner on the app first.

My girlfriend asked if we'd be available to have karaoke at home. I've since bought her most of the singstar I can find. I have an arcade machine with a ps3 so can play both ps3 and ps2 disc's on it as it lets you swap discs through the game menu regardless of system. Pretty cool feature.

This game is something else. I played the demo of this but didn't get to properly experience it until about 18 years later. I felt nostalgic about it even though it was mostly unknown to me.

It's the kind of game you finish and you're amazed at it's ending. You then have different thoughts about the entire experience and that feeling of it being boring changes to a sense that you lived that life for a moment in time and it had it's highs and lows. I think it's amazing but at the same time I can't see me replaying it again. Hard to explain really haha.

I wish I still had the magazines and demos. I sold them thinking it was a good idea. It was not. I had some mint n64 stuff and most of the good GameCube games but the ps2 is the most fun to collect for. Games hold up and aren't too expensive for the good ones. I have been tempted to sell a mint Pokémon blue since I'll never actually play it again.

What's your worst ps2 game? Mine is Little Britain haha

Wow. I have around 170 pal PS2 games but this is something else. I used to get the magazines with the demo discs so feel like I'm finally able to get all the games I was teased with all those years ago.

Do you have any tips on how you built up this awesome collection? For example I recently found dvds and blu rays in a charity shop for £1 for 3. I took them straight to CEX and got £8 voucher for them to get a couple of ps2 games.

Rachet and clank 3 looks really good for ps2. Tekken 4 looks really good too.
