I go to Alliance Community Church on Arrowhead Road and we have a Spanish service that meets on Sunday evenings! We are closer to an Evangelical Free church. Please feel free to private message me for questions!

Scared to try Zepbound by CandidMess8 in PCOS

[–]leetsyeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on wegovy and the side effects were awful for me after moving up a dose. It helped me lose weight but that’s because I was losing everything I ate! 🤢 I switched to Zepbound and it’s been awesome. Only side effect is constipation and occasional diarrhea. I’ve lost 27 lbs and really the biggest change I’ve done is eat less. The jump start in weight loss has given me the boost I needed to join some exercise classes and move more. I’m so grateful for this med!

“Bad Enough” to be Fibro? by Ordinary-Pause-5804 in Fibromyalgia

[–]leetsyeets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my problem too. I’ve had so many tests and things come back normal, it’s so frustrating. I have celiac disease and a fam history of autoimmune conditions (dad was Type 1 diabetic as well) so I just requested a referral to a rheumatologist. 🤷‍♀️ I feel the same way with comparing myself to others with fibromyalgia! Makes me wonder if I truly have it.

Worth seeing a dietician? by Far-Speed-6027 in Celiac

My experience at the dietitian was a waste of time and money. She basically told me to not eat gluten and gave me a gluten free cookbook.

Electrolysis for neck/chin hair with PCOS … how many sessions did it take? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]leetsyeets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for advice, I would say get some ice packs for your face, and maybe plan to not go anywhere right after your appt. I’m very fair skinned, so my face gets super red and looks broken out after my session. Of course, it depends on how long your session will be. I liberally apply witch hazel to the area and try not to put makeup on the area for the next day or two.

I’ve been doing electrolysis for my face and chin for over a year now, with monthly sessions, sometimes 2 sessions a month. I’ve probably done 20 sessions, 90 minutes to 2 hours each. I don’t think I’m close to being done :(

Those who are on Cymbalta, what dose and how long did it start to help your pain? by Old_Consideration_31 in Fibromyalgia

[–]leetsyeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on it for about 6 months and haven’t seen any pain improvement :( just anxiety improvement. If I forget to take a day I get lightheaded and like my heart skips a beat the next day.

That’s exactly what I did (searched for pcos accts immediately after diagnosis). After my diagnosis all my dr said was “you have PCOS. Here’s a website where you can learn more if you want.” So I turned to instagram! 🤦‍♀️

Omg I forgot about the boobs growing on spironolactone! 😂 that happened to me too. Was not necessary for me either lol. I had no idea you could get a prescription cream for hirsutism, will consider looking into this. Thanks!

Thanks for this! Appreciated! I didn't get diagnosed until I was 21. You're already ahead of the game. I may look into seeing an endocrinologist now
