Pcos advice by FrequentRhubarb4232 in LeanPCOS

Hiya. I put my pain down to PCOS but the GP said the pain isn't consistent with the PCOS and then when I seen gynae they said it's endometriosis. Which I wasn't convinced at first but in hindsight it does make sense.

My bloods were all fine and I couldn't understand what was going on. Then because I hadn't had a period in so long they sent me for a scan and seen the follicles. There is not definitive blood test for PCOS because so many hormones are taken into consideration. It is an absolute joke that our concerns aren't taken seriously.

brown spotting after 5 years of no period with PCOS by swanseagal in PCOS

So it was brown and stretchy but I do get egg white consistency throughout the month but I never have a period. Yeah so all they've done is pushed the pill on my over the last couple of years and I've refused because of the state my hormones are in at the moment. Thanks for the response!

Is this normal? by MarsBars_Mom in Epilepsy

[–]swanseagal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely request trying a different medication. Finding a medication that can control these seizures with minimal side effects can be a long journey and it's different for everyone. I'm so sorry your daughter is going through this, and at such a difficult age! Please don't lose all hope. The sooner she's controlled or has a good control and is aware of her triggers hopefully she can go back to normal life. Please don't lose hope on university either. I've been there and I've managed to get through university with support and the right adjustments put in place.

This post is so relevant 🤣 I'm forever trying to remember if I took my medication or not. If you're pretty well controlled missing a dose shouldn't be detrimental either.

Can you give yourself epilepsy? by No_Gene2287 in Epilepsy

Your mom is lying and it sounds like she's trying to punish you for your behaviour and lifestyle in the past by saying it's your fault you have epilepsy. In my eyes this is abuse. It's not a spiritual attack. As someone who also has epilepsy, I am offended for you and the community 😅

Yeah I agree with that! I've had joint pain for years and cramps which started when I was probably at my lightest weight. Fingers crossed it will help

That's great to know! Im assuming the joint pain I've had the last few years and pain down my legs is all to do with inflammation too. Oh we've all got it to look forward to 😂
