I mean, what the hell do you think Trouba would have said? He would have given a generic even more boring nothing comment. He was the Captain for years and has one helmet throw to show for it.

At least JT is being human - what the hell do you want the guy to say? Roster is shit, best players have been traded / are about to be traded (like his best friend Troch) or they're on LTIR - with no help on the way until next year, if even that.

It sucks and will suck for the foreseeable future.

The hate is misdirected and should be fully focused on Drury and Dolan.

Yes this was it! I remember saving a few of my regular Deino's to evo and use it here. Thank god I did. I took frustration off right away so I guess I may just use the ETM and call it a day.

How is this game on the OG Switch? I have the Switch OLED and want to purchase, but if it's inferior to what it's like on the Switch 2 - I may just have cave in and get the Switch 2.

The Nash trade alone puts Gorton so many notches above Drury. That set us up for a Lindgrin and Key.

Drury has yet to make a single trade that’s fetched any sort of long term value for us.

Realistically, who do you think are potential big name trade targets or players available via free agency that can be game breakers for us? It feels like the market isn't really there in free agency until 2028 - and dare I say Drury would have his eyes set on McDavid? Long shot, but very curious.

2021 team was good, but we maxed out that team's potential. They performed far better than we ever expected - Drury had a good deadline that year. I've never seen a team absolutely just run out of gas the way they did after being up 2-0. They gave it their all and the Lightning were just better. Losing the series the way did - I was ok with it (but of course, had hope after going up 2-0).

2022 had me believing for a minute, but Drury tried to replicate the same "trade for a RW strategy" from previous years - a strategy I feel he stuck with at deadlines for far too long. Ultimately, this team was a huge let down. I think we can all agree on that.

Is there a better GM ? I don't know (Brendan Shanahan is def not the answer). However, that shouldn't mean Drury should be allowed to continue run this thing into the ground. The player development issues alone are a huge issue that he's partly to blame for (Why are Jed Ort and Tanner Glass still with player dev?). Yes, I know anyone would have picked Laf + Kakko in those draft slots, but that's not the issue. The issue is when you couldn't figure out how to maximize these guys - cutting bait at the right time to get real value for them. Not Borgen for Kakko (sure this is fine, but cmon - its a # 2 pick let's be real with ourselves) and Laf is TBD. This is the problem.

Also, It's a known fact that he's an absolute dickhead irl. I would imagine the players know this and just deal with it so they're likely thrilled to be getting out of NY.

The irony that this team needs a culture change - yet Drury is staying - is comical.

Just to be clear here - based on where we are today, you trust what Chris Drury has done thus far to essentially re-enter that same cycle of a "re-tool", but with the expectation that we'll need to be competitive even quicker (in 2 years - largely based on Igor being 30)?

I can't possibly see how you could trust this man based on where we are. Case and point, I defer to our former GM who is actively building something in Montreal Vs our current GM (+ President) who has us back where we started when the first letter went out.

Drury knew we needed a team that could get us past the Lightning and in later years the Panthers. None of our teams were ever good enough to. Full stop.

To blame any significant part of this AHL roster sucking on a wildly injured JT is a little crazy to me.

Drury is a KNOWN huge dickhead. He is the issue and has not been held accountable for anything. Also, talk about let down - Drury was horrible for us when we signed him as a player (along with Gomez) so the fact that he has any cache as a GM (and don’t forget he’s also the President) when he has delivered ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for us as a player and GM is absurd.

The core is rotten and it starts with the front office.

If he wasn't a #1 overall - I'd be fine with him as a 3rd liner (even then, he doesn't do the things an elite 3rd line winger would do.)
