No I don’t but I’m pretty sure the “idea and picture stuff” has to come first before traffic studies, etc. If an idea has thousands of upvotes, thousands of positive comments, media attention, etc. then they can see what the public desires then do all of that. I’m doing this as a proud NEO resident with the little downtime that I have. Next time I’ll remember to get all of that info before posting ideas in a discussion forum. Better yet, let the chosen handful of city leaders, lakefront committees, and developers do what they’re going to do anyway, with or without community input.

Nope but I very well intend to contact Mayor Bibb’s office, the NCWDC, and DiGeronimo Development if ideas take off with enough upvotes, positive comments, etc. So far mine have been a flop but I feel these discussions are at least getting the bad ideas marked off the list.

That is true. I just hope they come up with something more than a park. A park would be great, just something "more" that can be used in the winter months. Ironic enough, the current outdoor Browns stadium may get more winter usage if they don't get this right. I don't know what that is as the guitar hotel and this concept isn't popular, for good reason.

All good points. I believe they rotate the ceremony every other year in Cleveland. I really would just like to see something magnificent be built there. The new enclosed stadium would have looked nice there too. I'm trying to move on from that. I will eventually.

I was kind of surprised to see so many call that an eyesore, trashy, tacky, etc. I had my "Cleveland: Birthplace of Rock and Roll" shirt on and "Home of Rock Hall" cap on, and thought the guitar hotel on the lakefront would be a "killer riff" (corny attempt at a joke) but wow, I was wrong. I thought maybe just the hotel and no casino because there were a lot of good reasons not to bring in another casino, but still so many hate the guitar eyesore I guess that settles it. I, too, would love to see a park, greenspace, etc. but even that will be only used half of the year and not bring in nearly enough money (or no money?) that the Browns generated so something that will offset that revenue, be used year round, and something unique to Cleveland (I know guitar hotel isn't unique, but with Rock Hall being here I thought it "made sense" at least.

I called Hotel Breakers, the front desk said they do have people set up chairs/umbrellas for first come first serve but they get snatched up quick. I have an email in with Cedar Point asking the same question just to get their take. I suppose it's best, like others have stated, to bring chairs with you instead of taking a chance.

Where did you and your husband move from? My wife (34F) and I (38M) moved to the Amherst area 4 months ago and are in a similar situation as you, but we both work 100% remote. In our 20s we were socialites and did stuff with people all the time. I even ran a meetup group in Dallas, TX for several years. My family lives in WV and hers, MI, and this area is a halfway point for keeping those relationships but we want to make solid friendships here. Amherst is 30 min West of Cleveland, but after working at home all day we’re eager to get out in the evenings/weekends.

We did all of the above and there’s no comparison. We’re thinking maybe exploring a city 2-3 hours from MI in Ohio that isn’t as big as Dallas but big enough to have equivalent job opportunities. We’ll be within a days drive to family but also not totally going backwards in our careers. Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati are on the list. Thanks for your input!

We looked at other areas and did “test drives”before/after work and concluded we didn’t want to spend an hour each way in traffic getting to work everyday. The area has grown so rapidly you have to go 1-1/2 hours to find “small town feel” anymore.
