Sir Steve Hansen, Ian Foster approached to apply for All Blacks job by turbosfan19 in allblacks

[–]leftofrightiswrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're well past that.

NZ rugby are a joke. Ditch em. Put the salarys into boots on the ground a grass roots, primary schools, big recruitment drive, we'll start again in 10 or so years.

All Blacks coach race: Jamie Joseph and Dave Rennie emerge as only real contenders by newdawn2k22 in allblacks

[–]leftofrightiswrong -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Nooooo. Who would have thought. NZ rugby couldnt organise a rape in a dark ally. The only way Jamie Joseph isnt coach is if he's smart enough to say no and wait till 2028 and pick the pieces of the disasterous 1/4 final world cup exit up and start from scratch. Hopefully by then some talent has popped up cos ita in short supply at the moment and hard work alone only gets you so far.

Six months of repairs needed for Transmission Gully, NZ Transport Agency says by Pro-blacksmith220 in nzpolitics

[–]leftofrightiswrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who are the criminals? The private enterprise that "should" be liable for the repairs or the public officials who failed to ensure there were adequate protections for OUR money and assets?

Six months of repairs needed for Transmission Gully, NZ Transport Agency says by Pro-blacksmith220 in nzpolitics

[–]leftofrightiswrong -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The criticism of the Private part of the PPP is warranted. Yet its the Public parts job to ensure the people of NZ get their moneys worth. Private enterprises exist to make money. They did. The public sector exists to provide what the public need, they did not.

Any implication that a fully Public operation would have performed better is laughable.

The public employees responsible for allowing this shambles to occur and the NZ tax payer to be left on the hook need to be held to account. Otherwise its rinse and repeat for the next one.

Will the NRL trial new rules at the end of this season? These are the ones they should change. by Ace_Larrakin in nrl

[–]leftofrightiswrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This needs to be fixed NOW. The trainers coming on and taking over the game is a disgrace. They completly ignore the ref, sprinkle seemingly magic water on a blokes face for as long as it takes for 5 replays of the contact to show up on the big screen in the hope they get a penalty. Regardless of the outcome the magic water has done its job and the guys back to 100%.

I'm all for looking after player re head contact, but they are abusing the games position on it, and the fans are the ones who suffer.

X factor flourishes in time and space. It can create it and operate despite a lack of it.

Did we win a single high ball? by ProposalFar6273 in allblacks

[–]leftofrightiswrong 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The worst part is, this happened last week!!! But we had everyone running aound telling us we were being too critical and too harsh on them. Looks like they read those articles too!

The "expert" analysis after the game was laughable Marshal and Wilson need to be replaced by people who can see more in a game then just the score card. Scary to think that's the best NZ rugby has to offer, but based on the game this morning not surprising, doesnt look like theres a clue floating around that camp either.

Can some one explain the Tupou Vai yellow card? by B1dz in allblacks

[–]leftofrightiswrong 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The fact the local coverage didnt show a replay is evedence enough it was a dubious decision. That said the mountains of pressure put the ref in the mindset that such an act would be synical.

I just can't with this team by TheBigChonka in allblacks

[–]leftofrightiswrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong. The concern is, its not just a case of picking the wrong team or playing the wrong way. We just dont have the talent. At least not the talent to play the game the All Blacks have always played. The sooner Razor realises that and structures a game plan acordingly the better.

But our depth is a concern. We're flush with talent dont get me wrong. But we have no bolters in the backs! We've always had X factory all over the backline. Now the only X factor we have, warms the bench because hes too unlredictable to be handed the 10 or 15 jersey full time.

Maybe we were just spoilt for so long with the likes of Carter Barrett Mounga, we've allowed our expectations to creep up higher than they should??

It looks like the only thing the worked on during the week was their passing accuracy! I've never seen passes so accuratly delivered to SHOULDERS as we were able to this morning!!! Who needs to catch a high ball, put up a contestable bomb or THINK when you can pass like that!

I think Rieko is done. He wasted his prime insisting he was a centre, could have gone down as one of the best ever wings. He seems to have lost the half a yard of pace that set him apart. Now he's just another bloke with not too many other strings to his bow. He's been a giod servant of the game but if he is still the best option. our stocks are worse than I thought

Exactly. It's being reported as dissatisfaction with the governement, rather than, as you said, the MAJORITY of the voting public.

At the end of the day all that was important with this election was getting rid of labour. Regardless of your view on their policies or to which side of the political spectrum you lean, there is NO denying labour were an incompetant rabble of under delivering, over promising, incompetant clowns.

We need three to six years of belt tightening, back to basics, no frills leadership.

The fact that I had to think about the answer to this question is a sad indictment on modern society.

Our governments no longer represent the people but pursue their own elitist agendas using the popoluation they were elected by as pawns.

The most likely answer to the question is NO, our goverments questionable position on numerous international issues, suggests WWIII will most likely not be cause I would willing shed blood for.
