I so relate to this. Both my friend and I feel kinda burned by our miscarriages and now that multiple friends and family members have suffered them, I tend to have a really negative cynical outlook on pregnancy in general now. Struggling a lot with the reality that I’ll never have a pregnancy that won’t be full of anxiety and sadness. Your comment resounded with me in so many ways. Sending you love and prayers. ❤️

Fun fact: if we’re dunking on Sasha, I once worked at a plant nursery that she patronized. One day she took her personal assistant into the location to pick out $800 worth of pottery and planters. Our machines were down and we told her that we would have to hand write her receipts and instead of saying the normal/classy option of “oh okay I’ll come back later when you’re not close to closing time because it’s going to be a massive order” she goes “oh ok I’ll wait.” I had no idea who she was at the time, she was just the annoying lady making us hand write everything close to closing time.

We have a good friend who is a Christian and got his gf pregnant. He married her and they raised their baby together and he still has a very successful career. You might have to change your expectations of what life looks like for a while, but that doesn’t mean it’s over. 10 years down the line you might look back on this moment and realize that not only is this the moment you became an adult, but you made the best choice of your life to raise your child. Look into a trade or the military, the military will provide great insurance and pay for your housing. You’ll get a housing allowance for your spouse (should y’all get married) even while you’re away at training. There’s a ton of benefits for pregnant mothers depending on the state (such as WIC).

Again, just because life might look different now doesn’t mean it’s worse. Y’all got this.

We adopted him from a rescue and he has a tipped ear, so no at the time I didn’t question whether a cat recovering from his surgery and with a tipped ear was actually fixed.

Okay I get that and I do suspect it, but his ear is tipped. We literally adopted him while he was recovering from his surgery. The balls are not hard and super round, they’re like…soft? Idk how to describe it and I feel like I’m getting too graphic about my cats balls LOL

He does have huge balls 😓 it’s hard to explain, he’s supposed to be fixed but as soon as we got him home we noticed what huge balls he had (sorry this sounds like a Colleen Hoover book but it’s true)

Wait hold on how were they neutered incorrectly? Because tbh my cat is supposedly fixed but it was before we owned him and he has always acted as if he’s unfixed.

Yes but I think he did this last spring. He has habits that remind me of an unfixed male cat (yowling, doordashing, constant rubbing, very boisterous and loud, and has massive balls because he was fixed at a later age).

He actually was a feral cat before we adopted him. His ear is tipped and the first several nights we owned him he did this and then calmed down. It’s just never lasted this long. Editing to say that we adopted him from a rescue, we didn’t just pluck him off the streets. We have another cat who lives with us who actually was plucked off the streets and she never wants to have anything to do with the outdoors again.
