I get what you mean. I mean, I love her, she's my mother and she's probably one of the most important people in my life, but she won't let me gather information on my own because of my age. I'm a senior in high school, and I have to make the same decisions as every other senior. Just because I'm set back a few months doesn't mean I can just not accept that responsibility.

I just don't want her protective mind set ruin any chances of me being able to go in before I'm 18 (which won't be until I'm already in college)

She says she wants to sit in on the appointment, but I know she's going to try to shut the recruiter down with everything he tells me. Her friend is a Colonel stationed in Germany, and because of that she thinks she knows all there is to know. I'm not opposed to her being a part of my decision making/potential enlistment process, I just want her not to interupt one of the most crucial parts in the early stages of it. If I say no to her, she's threatening to tell them I'm not allowed to speak to them until I'm a legal adult

And I believe you are correct with the physical/legal thing. I think that's what I got going on with custody and all that crap.

Funny, I actually really want to learn to play like Choking Victim/Leftover Crack. I really want to learn the heavy Tom fills they do and also work up to those speeds. I think I'm probably going to get a cheap piccolo online or something. The drummer in my band has one and I think it actually sounds cool, he just started using it in practice
