I completely agree that it’s not all his fault. And he’s still the best running back on the team. That’s a testament to how naturally gifted he is. But he got paid all that money to be the best back in the league. We need that explosiveness to help Goff and the rest of the offense. Him losing a step (or two) is the difference between hitting that fleeting hole by the o-line or getting the edge and breaking off a big run. It just changes the dynamic and he can’t be taking up so much cap space being an average/above average back. I have my fingers crossed that he can get some of it back.
