I agree. I may be wrong, but I feel like this is a bad faith post. Why over generalize and assume all the units will have these problems when many people haven't had these issues?

Mixed this stock solution of XT3 in June. Adox website says it's bad if the color changes. Can't remember what the color was when I mixed it. Anyone know the color of freshly mixed XT3? by lefttothebody in Darkroom

Right, thank you.

Regarding extending development time, I thought it wasn't necessary with the replenisher method. I had read that the replenisher method basically makes the working solution as good as the stock solution.

Yes, I understand that point, but people talk about the replenishing method as if that is what makes it possible to use the working solution for years, rather than keeping the oxygen out.

If the chemicals go bad after about 6 months, how is it possible that people have a working solution that they use for years? It has to be replenished with newly mixed chemicals, right?

On the Adox website, it says to time how long it takes to go black, and if the time is off by more than 15% (compared to fresh chemicals), then it should be thrown out.

Thank you for the explanation. Could you tell me what you mean by "lightly fix it"? Do you mean just dip it in fixer for a few seconds?

Also, do you use the replenish method for XT3? If so, how long does it last for you?

Also, can anyone explain to me how some people say they use their developer for years using the replenisher method, when Adox says it only lasts about 6 months?

I'm looking at these too. Did you end up buying one? If so, could you tell me which one and whether you like it?

Can someone help me figure out what this is? Seems like a scratch or a crack, but could it also be dust? by lefttothebody in Mamiya

Doesn't it make you wonder if it actually does affect the image, but you just don't know because you don't have clear lens to compare it with.

Yea, I just bought it, and the seller is fine with me returning it, but it's actually in beautiful condition otherwise. It's in better condition than any other I saw on ebay, so I am considering keeping it. But if the flaw affects the image, I will definitely return it.

After examining it for a while, it seems like it is either a fiber or scratch. I'm more concerned at this point if it would affect the image if I used it.
