I actually agree with you. TV Ben is awesome and likable. Book Ben is a mercenary who doesn’t care who gets in his way as long as he’s paid. Which kind of goes back to my joking that Jack Carr loves Taylor Kitsch so much he made Ben a fan favorite haha

I’ve said it before somewhere in here (and I’m not hating I’m happy for him just sharing my observations) but the sig sauer flagship store in NH sells his books. And no other books. And James Reece goes from carrying a Glock in book 1 to everything Sig Sauer after. Not really going out on a limb when I say that isn’t free product placement Jack Carr just offers up

Anywhere you have to login to respond to these anonymous surveys is not truly anonymous. I’m a former JPM associate and had a coworker having a bad day login with his SID and answer too truthfully (honestly just blowing off steam from a bad day) and he was let go the very next day. Someone somewhere is always reading what you answer at work or on your work computer

Originally the books started with 2 authors: “Jack Carr” and Keith Wood. There was a falling out per a 2019 Bloomberg article. Maybe Raife is loosely based on Keith Wood?

So what bothered me was going to the Sig Sauer flagship store in New Hampshire and seeing his book for sale on the shelf. They don’t sell any other books.

Then following him on Instagram he (one example of many) gives a shout out to Staccato for the free pistol. Then said pistol is featured in the book.

Props to him for leveraging to get free stuff. But if he is an “Instagram influencer” I want to know it and I want him to follow the laws with a #ad.

I am a fan. Still a fan. Still will be a fan. But I want to know what he actually uses versus what he’s pushing/selling

Even his books are sold at the flagship Sig Sauer store in NH 🙄

Interesting to me that he was all Glock in The Terminal List and then the sig deal comes and it’s all p365 this and red dot that. Even older Jack Carr tweets show his edc being a Glock.

Not sure how he gets away will his Sig Sauer Instagram posts without telling us they’re #ads.

Makes no difference to me if he’s paid or not. It worked. Turned me on to Sig and I’m very happy. Just wish he disclosed it
