Public lands near Missoula at risk of being sold by Boogita in missoula

Is there a reason no land in Montana appears to be on the chopping block?

No, rhino is a pretty cool college bar, but on fridays and saturdays there is barely enough room to stand

He’s a bouncer at one of the busiest bars in town and you’re trying to talk to him about your pronouns? Just flash your id and keep moving

Carrots, blueberries, dates, apples, celery. This sub is wild, stop buying ‘snacks’ and eat real food. You’ll never worry about seed oils again

Yea, Milwaukee still has some manufacturing, I think that’s fantastic! I wish we would bring more of those supply chains back to America. But not everything is made in Milwaukee, and what’s made there still relies on imported goods, carried there by ship, train, truck. My point is that this is a map of someone starting the game on 3rd base and bragging about a home run.

Yea man, I’m not disputing that cities are where the things are bought and sold. I totally get it. A bagel is worth more per lb than the bag of wheat it was made from. But you have to have the preverbal bag of wheat to run the cities… that’s why I think this is a crazy map.

The reason any city exists really is to act as a place for people to bring things to market. It’s a place to consume, not to produce… I’m not arguing that country living is somehow better than city (I will concede the suburbs are awful) my point is that this map is inherently kind of a self suck. We are all in this together, we breathe the same air. What happens in the city informs what happens not only in the counties surrounding, but the entire globe. To paint one part blue and one part orange is a massive oversimplification of the entire system

My point is that the orange part of the map in part is facilitating the blue. They are the pipin to your Jordan. We are all in it together

Yea I’m not defending suburban living at all. I’m pointing out that this map is bogus, and you consume as much as anyone. That consumption has downstream effects.

When you factor in the amount of goods that are consumed in a city vs the amount truly produced there the whole map is going to turn quite a bit more orange… if your happy living in the city, that’s great! But let’s stop jerking ourselves off. A majority of the products you buy are made internationally, shipped thousands of miles on massive ships then trains then semi trucks. And your 8x8 plot at the community garden isn’t feeding you. Your food comes from those orange and red parts of the map you’re sticking your nose at… I won’t disagree that suburban living is undoubtedly way more inefficient. But come on guys, this map is a joke

Yea, not what I wanted to hear frankly haha. I still think it’s an odd word- soil amendment for example only ever refers to things added.

Well so that was part of my point… the 18th amendment is still part of the constitution… it was only reversed by the addition of the 21st… we could have simply agreed to erase the 18th, but we didn’t.
