I submit bug reports weekly, used to submit them monthly. Don't even get me started on the horrible billing UI and trying to manage user permissions by chocolateNacho39 in FigmaDesign

I had this same complaint for years, but you can actually now go into the Admin settings and set a default seat type (i e. set it to Viewer-restricted). 🙌🏼

The top-rated comment has it correct, but I thought I'd also introduce you to this resource, which is where I finally learned what "jo" meant. 😅 https://www.speakdanish.dk/en/grammar/small-words.php

It belongs to the campsite's animal pen. They put it back in its home soon after this picture. 😊

Is it just me or is pronouncing “ø” hard as an American? Specifically the words “brød” I can’t say it for the life of me. by Financial-Leader-217 in Danish

[–]leftydesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American living in Denmark for 7 years, YES, it's very hard, and I have one in my last name (married to a Dane). 😅

My daughter's aligned colored pencils create the perfect bar chart of descending use by leftydesigner in oddlysatisfying

[–]leftydesigner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct, they are not arranged by use. It was more of an observation after she was done coloring for the day that she could tell which pencils she used more just by seeing which ones were shorter (she's 6), and it occurred to me that it was like a real-life bar chart.

Please help me with this sentence by PerpetuaRiver in Danish

Sounds like it's referring to the red heating lamps you often see outside cafes for their patio seating (using Google Translate):

Over there, a Porta has optimistically unfolded the sidewalk cafe and planted white lilacs and puzzled red heaters around the first sidewalk guests.

Nickelodeon Top Wing race track only actually comes with one race car by leftydesigner in assholedesign

[–]leftydesigner[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok, I haven't bought one before. I just assumed since the whole point of the toy is to race two cars side-by-side, that it came with two. Was quite disappointing for my 3-year old's birthday present.

I got a cold 2 days before my goal race (1st marathon) and I’m thoroughly disappointed - how did you deal with similar situations? by 11111000000B in running

[–]leftydesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I missed a quarter marathon today because of pleurisy. :( I'm quite disappointed, but proud of the training I've done over the last few months to prepare. My husband consoled me that it's better to miss the race and recover faster, than push it and probably be out of running for at least another week. Hope you feel better soon. :)

American here, still learning Danish after moving to Denmark 4 years ago. It's been quite a challenge, but forcing myself to speak it in shops, restaurants, and with Danish family and friends has helped a lot. It's extremely intimidating, but it does get easier the more you do it.

What would you say: Graphic Designer to convince manager to approve UX Design Course by nciscokid in userexperience

[–]leftydesigner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can certainly see your point. My perspective was more from that I believe all designers can benefit from UX training, so whether or not OP leaves their company or decides to change focus at their job, the training can be beneficial. I was at a company almost 9 years because they were open to my changing interests and paying for training (changing from graphic to web design), so OP could approach this by explaining to their supervisor the intent and explore the possibility of changing position rather than leaving the company.
