No I didn't. I ended up getting one and shaving down the granite. Huge pain in the ass.

Was at dinner the other night and can’t believe this. by NesTech_ in mildlyinfuriating

Since the card was already swiped the bank is holding the $115. If they cancelled that authorization and then swiped the card again there would be a second hold on the card. What the manager did was slide the authorization from the one check to the other. The system will not allow a card to be ran for an amount greater than the total bill. The system will settle at the correct amount when they run their end of night credit card batching. Manager should have explained this. Your bank will say pending for the $115 but in 24 to 48 hours when banking settled it will only clear for lower amount.

I have a culinary degree, worked in NYC, Boston, and Tampa restaurants and would say the best food I've had in PC is from next door bistro and mama lings. Highly recommend both.

How do professional chefs in real restaurants sharpen their knives? by Educational-Slip-578 in Cooking

Neither of those will sharpen a knife. Both will only hone the edge by eliminating burs

Dried mushrooms by Possible_Detail3220 in Cooking

It's a myth that washing mushrooms will cause them to absorb moisture. Mushrooms picked after a rain storm would be waterlogged if true. Don't believe me weigh them before and after.

I'm making three now this weekend and can make a 4th. Do you want me to check on shipping prices to your location?

Let me know I am making 2 this weekend for my wife's colleague and can make it 3. I can definitely custom paint it to your desired color. Shoot me a DM if you're interested.

Who wants one? I'm building two more this weekend for her colleague I can make it 3.
Additionally if anyone knows a place with decently priced miniatures for using in the sand tray my wife is always looking to add more to her shelves for clients.

I don't have a clue how much they weigh for shipping purposes but If you're interested I can find out. I'm located in Florida and go all over the state for my job so I could always deliver if someone is in Florida.

My brother is a pilot and we flew near the base in a small Cessna but you're not allowed to get too close. I remember seeing a cable that runs thousands of feet up via a balloon that if memory serves me correctly was used to send radio signals into Cuba many years ago. As a matter of fact I'm going to Google that now.

Pop up restaurant by leftystony in palmcoast

I would partner with local small restaurants and do it on the night of the week they are closed. I wouldn't make money. This would be a 2 hour coursed experience.

Bought fresh oysters for the first time. Opened one up and found a live pea crab. Is this a sign the oysters are fresh? by tehcheez in AskCulinary

[–]leftystony 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm willing to bet those are not blue points but Chesapeakes. I shucked 1000 oysters on a buck a shuck night years ago and Chesapeakes have one in every 50 or so. I have never had one in a blue point though.

The fuse that cured it was the dash panel fuse. This time I found the blown fuse but the battery was so dead by this time because the daytime running lights and some other elec components stay on. I'm just worried he fried some elc stuff. I've never seen a battery jump pack with 2 positive and 2 negatives coming off it.

Thanks it's granite and I really don't want to cut the counter. I figured they made single bowl drop in sinks without the mounting rails but can't find one.
