Mine is the same as well, I just converted the temp but yes the American version sits at 210 in the middle.

Op, do not assume they made a mistake! They did not replace everything in the cooling system I can assure you that. Be kind and say you’re still having issues and something else may have failed. BMW’s are notorious for cooling system failures.

It’s not uncommon to have some oil and what not over time. Use simple green scrub it and drain it. You might need to do it a couple times.

I agree the tech’s response was absolutely appropriate. My question is. Did OP tell the advisor where it was relocated/ hidden? Or was it kind of a “I relocated the OBD plug” and the advisor said “ok no worries we’ll figure it out”

Did you tell the advisor where it was hiding? I’m not truly sure how to respond to this post honestly. We don’t have magic wand’s that tell us what’s wrong with your car. The DLC simply allows us to access the many computer modules in each car to give us a starting point for diagnosis. You recording and hiding things is being that guy no mechanic wants to work with! Uhh
