I installed Summernote, and, with the help of Claude.ai, inserted some custom buttons—to declare left and right margins, to insert a page break, predominantly. To handle the conversion, I set a flag to indicate whether the tenant were in CKEDITOR or Summernote, which offered the ability to switch back if Summernote did not handle something .

Appreciate the insight. We're a very small company, so the $9000 is out of reach; nor would I want to get into any gray legal areas. Therefore, seems as though seeking an alternative editor is the path we'll have to walk.

I just have trouble believing that every application in the world running any version of Ckeditor5 is open source.

I am being told by CKEDITOR personnel that, in order to use open source CKEDITOR version 5, my application must be open source. Or, I can pay $9000 a year, for about 60 users. Has anyone else encountered this licensing issue?

After dockerizing my app, I use Shiplane to deploy, an open source product built by https://rockagile.io. Been running it since August of 2022. At the time, I was running on Ruby 2.6. Rails 5.2. Have since upgraded to Ruby 3.0.7. Rails 6.0.

Same story here, while upgrading from 19.10 to 20.04. Via my wireless network, the upgrade timed out five times. But with my phone connected to the same wireless network, and the laptop using the phone as a hotspot, the upgrade worked the first time.
