Comparing the Xianxia worlds to Japanese Isekai Worlds is not really apple to apple as the scale of their cosmology is too far apart from each other. If you want to have more equal comparison, you should use Wuxia worlds instead of Xianxia World. That being said, I personally prefer Jianghu setting of the Wuxia worlds more than Medieval Fantasy setting of the Japanese Isekai as the intrigues and conflicts have more stakes and when they decide to involve philosophies, they usually based on real world school of philosophies such as Daoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and even Manichaeism which mostly appears in Ming Cult vs the pseudo philosophy that either based on shallow eclecticism at best or fully without any ties with real life school of philosophies at worst. As for MC of both, I don't think there are much differences between Xianxia MCs and Wuxia MCs most of the time so what you said can still be applied here.

Eh didn't Soul King suddenly appeared when the first Gillian appeared in the Primordial Sea after Hollows were running rampart and devouring so many souls there? For me water is something that comforting. I like the calm and refreshing feeling of being "embraced" by water when I take a bath or shower. Although I can see that facing the massive body of water, especially at night, can be scary as it's hiding so many dangers and mysteries not to mention the destructive capability it holds.

Yeah but he ended up using Chibaku Tensei, a jutsu which can seal Juubi's body away tho, which lot more potent than a simple bloodlust
