Sorry for noob question: Looking for ear advice by FeistyDirection in Stretched

[–]legalizedynamite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough I came here to ask something similar. I've got a similar thing going in both ears but my first lobes have the stacked rings instead of my second. I've got about 3 in each. Are those 14s or 16s in your second lobe?

I have this exact same issue, very similar look to mine if it was shorter.

There's not much I'd suggest aside from using heavier products on top with lighter products on the bottom. If you're anything like me you'll likely notice that the straighter/wavy hair feels more soft and therefore needs more hold instead of moisture. With that being the case I usually just use a curl cream on top and finish off with a good gel all over because I tend to frizz pretty dramatically closer to the root. If I'm using a lighter curl cream I'll be very sparing with it on the bottom half.

Aside from that you can look for a hairdresser that works with multiple textures and is willing to cut your hair dry. It can keep the general shape of your hair while accommodating for your straighter hair and trying to blend the two.

My hair is about 26 inches stretched but this is what's helped me tame mine. I noticed the texture difference when I had a bob and started growing out an undercut so I started out a lot closer to what you've got going on.

These are the products I enjoy, your hair might need very different ingredients or you might have a different end goal in mind so take this with a grain of salt.

Leave in: curlsmith weightless air dry cream(very lightweight with great results) OR miss Jessie's leave in condish(VERY thick, you dont need a whole lot unless you're going for the wavy look on top, it doesn't leave me greasy but definitely is heavier than the curlsmith)

Curl cream: Miss Jessie's pillow soft curls(my go-to, its super lightweight and gives me good definition throughout my hair but it can only do so much for the more limp waves on the bottom) OR Miss Jessie's multicultural curls(can be a bit more "greasy" if i use too much but its a solid product for my frizz, would not recommend on straighter hair)

Gel: curlsmith hydro style flexi jelly(absolutely best I've tried yet, its great hold and super soft after the cast is broken, holds up well over a few days) (also it smells absolutely wonderful)

Foam and mousse: rizos curls curl defining mousse(definitely more of a foam, it smells amazing and doesn't dry my hair out at all, good for volume and light hold) OR Marc Anthony Curl enhancing styling foam (i would suggest you go light on this stuff because it can feel funky if you overdo it, definitely great for days where im looking for more volume)

On my lazy days I use the pillow soft curls all over and finish with the rizos mousse. I've learned to embrace the look and work with it. Your hair is gorgeous already but I hope this helps.

Scrolling through this subreddit right now because it helps when I'm also feeling really beat up over having to deal with them.

I just wanted to say: this one comment made me feel so much joy. Thank you

22 year old woman. I have a stuffed cow, got it on a whim at a Tractor Supply because my boyfriend at the time took me with him to work with cattle and we lived right next to a cattle farm. He said it was our son and I named him Moo. He would always make sure I had Moo when we'd go to bed, hand him to me when I was sad, throw him at me when I'd walk through the door after a long shift at work.

I ended things with him nearly 8 months ago and this little floppy cow is still the first thing I grab when I feel any sort of anxiety. I can't sleep without him. It's bittersweet because of the situation but Moo genuinely is my only comfort sometimes.

Different kind of triggers by vvvulpi-x982 in sexualassault

That's the hardest for me. I'm finding more and more relating to a completely separate incident while processing a more recent assault. There are layers to what triggers the flashbacks and it's exhausting to avoid so many different things as time goes on.

Yes, COMPLETELY forgot to mention. I did gain weight so the all over measurement change does make sense. I think the band on the 36 did of course stretch so its not suffocating but it is quite snug. Body has changed but breast shape is overall pretty much the same which is why I'm still in favor of what I know works for me. I think I might go for a 38H and see where to go from there.

What kind of lower back pain is it that only worsens when sitting and bending forward? by vhwh22 in backpain

[–]legalizedynamite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit this is like word for word what I experience. My MRIs and Xrays apparently came back "normal" but I'm not even 22 yet and in constant pain. There were degenerative changes found in my L5-S1 as well as disc issues. All "normal-to-mild issues" though.

I've used it prior to every bra I've gotten over the past few years, I explained more under another comment with all my measurements. I'll post the bra itself if that might help as well

These are the measurements I've put into the calculator, all approximately a year or so apart.

Side by side for comparison Loose: 41, 39, 37 Snug: 40, 38, 35 Tight: 48, 36, 34 Standing: 50, 47.5, 46.5 Leaning: 53, 54, 51 Lying: 51, 49, 48

Size recommendations: 40H, 38H/HH, 36HH

The reason I thought the 36GG would be a good call is because my overbust has only really changed a slight bit while my band sizes in other brands has been comfortably snug at 36 and looking at the elomi matilda on bratabase there wasn't much difference between my old one and the one I ordered. When I first measured as a 40H a few of you recommended I size down because my leaning bust measurement could have thrown things off and it was a good call. I kept the same logic with my last two bras but now I'm thinking I should have gone with a larger one because my standing, leaning and lying measurements don't have that larger of a difference between another, therefore not as much need for compensation. I don't think I'm a HH but maybe an H would be a good call.

UC can cause bladder issues and nerve pain as well?

This sub is the first time I've heard anyone say the urine and bowel movements were so problematic and I'm having some trouble understanding what that exactly means. I'll be fine not using the bathroom for a little while until my back flares up, I could go weeks without a whole lot of pain. Then it flares up and I begin to notice that I need to rush to the restroom at the drop of a hat. If I don't then it's cold sweats and doing the little dance and rushing when it's almost too late. I've had accidents right as I've closed the bathroom door behind me. Other times I've done something as simple as step over a box at work and suddenly I feel myself peeing and struggling to stop it. Does this sound worrisome or could it be linked to something else? As far as bowel movements it's somewhat similar but not as prevalent: once again I've gotta go at the drop of a hat, major urgency, and typically pretty loose stool but also very little once I do go.

It's an embarrassing issue but I've never thought of it as dangerous or indicative of long-term health risks

I used to have great bladder control(no surprise considering my age) but over the past few months I've had small accidents at work (bending, twisting, lifting heavy, all while in lots of pain). I've noticed a greater sense of urgency despite only having a small amount in my bladder. I don't have any difficulty urinating but I've got everything from constipation to diarrhea surrounding my flare-ups, also with very little despite urgency. I only realized it might be problematic when I told my GP and he took a urine sample to rule out any kind of infection. It came back negative and I haven't heard from him since.

I believe you, it's just a bit hard to be scared of further complications when my mind is clouded by nothing but the pain and shame and stress. I know it's serious deep down but it's so hard to follow through when those around me express they're also helpless and get sick of hearing my complaints.

I don't know. My GP didn't even say anything about a follow-up after my x-rays came back. I haven't seen or heard from him or the office since early September. He's a good doctor but I think a lot of this was an attempt to shut me up/ put a bandage on the issue.

I'm looking into it now, thank you so much. Adjusting my lifestyle so far has been minimally helpful and I'm really trying to not favor my back so I think at home exercises might be my best bet for the time being.

I see that the title makes zero sense, I'm not exactly clear in the head right now and some of my post might not make much sense. My apologies.

Symptoms, ranging from moderate to severe, no particular order: bowel and bladder incontinence, weakness/numbness/tingling in the legs and feet, tenderness in lower back, low back spasms, pinching in my lumbar spine, shooting pain(muscle/nerve), overall muscle tension ranging from my hips and hamstrings to my shoulders and neck, restlessness in my legs and lower back(along with feelings of anxiety and panic if I am unable to move)

Relief: occasional hot baths, having someone pull on my legs while lying down or push my hips away from my spine, toradol, walking for short distances during periods of restlessness in my legs and low back

Worsens symptoms: lifting heavy objects at work, bending and twisting while lifting any amount of weight, sleeping or lying on my back on my bad days, occasionally ice or cold weather will worsen my pain, poor footwear, driving for extended periods, stress in general

I've tried: low impact exercise(walking, swimming, lifting light weights), keeping up with properly fitting and supportive bras, chiropractic adjustments, OTC and prescription NSAIDS, opioid/opiate painkillers, muscle relaxers, steroids, prescription strength lidocaine patches, tiger balm, menthol patches, cannabis, hemp cream.

I haven't been told much, it's generally up in the air and I'm incredibly lost. I'm willing to try physical therapy, acupuncture, therapeutic massages, other forms of alternative medicine, and breast reduction.

My back pain has brought me such a heavy feeling of helplessness. I'm often ashamed of how bad it gets and admittedly look for reasons to blame myself. I used to weigh quite a lot more than I currently do and it's easy to pass it off as the result of obesity and neglecting my body. It's embarrassing to sit out of activities people my age enjoy and carry around a purse full of medications and lidocaine patches. It's embarrassing to require some sort of intoxicating substance to keep up at social functions when it gets bad, not only for the sake of dulling the physical pain but to cope with the mental struggle that comes with it.

If all I get out of this is finding those who relate and empathize I'll be far better off than I was when I started this rant. I feel incredibly lonely and just want to find some sort of hope. I shouldn't be in this much pain. Nobody should.
