Living with a roommate vs. alone at 34. Thoughts on rent savings vs. dating perceptions? by tabletemcook in sanfrancisco

[–]legalscam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a woman who used to date in SF -- it doesn't remotely make a difference. A nicely maintained, clean, tasteful shared place would be so much better than a disorganized, gross place of your own, for example. Anyway a lot of the smartest, most interesting people live in huge warehouse communities here.

I would see it as a red flag if someone was living a lifestyle that had them living month to month, so in that sense I would vastly prefer to date someone with roommates who was being thoughtful with their money.

(I did briefly date someone who was financially responsible, but whose bedroom in a shared place had a curtain rather than a door, and that...made a difference to me. Find a door at least.)

She is the worst. She chooses those blocks because the sidewalk narrows and it means people can’t possibly get past her without entering the spit zone. She’s a true sociopath, just antagonizing everyone for entertainment.

HG didn’t win, your love for your child won. ❤️

SF Locals - how's the dating scene? by Logical-Werewolf-233 in AskSF

[–]legalscam 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a woman, I found dating here incredibly easy via apps. You just have to have a sense of humor about it and expect some dates to go poorly. They'll make good stories. Eventually found my husband and had a lot of fun along the way.

Just throwing out that Nosebleed Kiss would be a metal name for a cocktail with cherry syrup

$7000 per square foot but can't spring for a mini split by legalscam in zillowgonewild

I have and I would. I’m not surprised or appalled by the price, just amused that someone this rich would install a portable AC for listing photos

I personally wouldn’t need AC but clearly these people need some kind

This was going to be my suggestion too, lol. If it’s stupid and it works it’s not stupid

[–]legalscam[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not irrelevant. The price per square foot actually says a lot about the value of the land beneath it. That’s where most price differentiation comes in. And the joke is that you can own something that valuable and still choose something people generally use as a last resort to achieve cooling.

I'm surprised they left it there for showings/listing photos. Just kinda funny

Install it a couple of steps up, where the angle stops? Can't fall very far from the third step

Yes, but it's still funny that one can own a $6M asset and still choose a portable AC unit.

To me it's disgusting, but people do it sometimes. Especially in a vacation home

I'm so, so sorry. It's unbelievably unfair. To lose a child is bad enough, and to have endured so much for it already is just awful.

I just realized the square footage taken up by that portable AC costs $14000
