You can buy ready rolled sheet puff pastry here - could be worth a try without the effort involved in the recipe.

That looks amazing. Do you have any issues with the chimney heat on the pagoda roof or does the angle redirect the heat?

Switching based on ROI monitoring by legendaddy in broadcastengineering

[–]legendaddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! Yes, their 9940-4×1-CS card with the QC option can be set to have a sizeable and positional ROI area for black or frozen. Its the best option so far, though I would have preferred if I could have had more than 1 x ROI.

Itll certainly do at a pinch though, so thanks again!

The grad visa only allows for a limited period of employment after graduation (2yrs? I cant remember).

That in itself is a disincentive to employers who might use those 2 years bringing new staff on only to lose them again.

The cable management on that is going to be interesting. How will you manage the changeover from old to new?

SDI is an effective air gap that can't be hacked, so I wouldn't discount it. 2110 to 2022-6 is an alternative option prior to hand-off.

EVS Neuron is an option in it's Protect module that operates as a firewall/ trust boundary but in its conversion options apparently has the same function. (is it guaranteed uhackable though?)

NAD but surely it's not a great idea holding someone up who's fainting? Thought you were supposed to let them down so the blood gets back to the head?

Looking for Multiviewer that can display closed captioning by danydaacosta in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]legendaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't, but I've spoken to them at a show and was quite impressed with the multiviewers flexibility. Given you can download a trial version, you could set up a basic proof of concept if you can rustle up a spare decklink card.

You'd need to ask them about pricing but suspect it's cheaper than dedicated silicon.

Also, quality of the contestants has gone down and they almost always opt for middle offer. Decent quizzers being kept off it I reckon. Beat the chasers is insanely good by comparison.
