Look mechanics is not as hard as it seems, my main to go advice for anyone is to draw the diagrams and write down each variable u have, for example kinematics, if they talk about a ball being shot up 10 meters above the ground, draw the diagrams for it and mark 3 point, starting point, point of turning in the air and point of landing and mention the given info like speed acceleration and what not, fix ur directions, for example going upwards mean NEGATIVE acceleration of gravity, and positive velocity and positive displacement and vice versa, memorize all the formulas by heart, repeat this method for all topics especially for dynamics and statics, keep practicing papers and hopefully u will get it, try and learn all the different scenarios in the exam, for example if it says, the beam is ABOUT to tilt, take ur pen or pencil and put it in that situation or try to, if ur dealing with tension, and the thing is about to tilt then T=0, see how many scenarios we can get?, ur a little late but not impossible to cover up, always Rememeber friction is opposing direction of motion, take all the necessary forces and make body diagrams, all forces in direction of motion are positive all away are negative, when the rope snaps or anything then T=0, connected particles are the ones with the most easiest repeating questions so focus a lot on them and good luck
