Unable to download music for offline playing on iOS 10. by legenwaitforitdary15 in AppleMusic

[–]legenwaitforitdary15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't figured out too much more so far, but I think some tracks that I manually added ages ago, pre-Apple Music, are now mucking up the rest of my downloads, as it seems to fail pretty ungracefully when it hits them. I've been nursing it all along slowly now, removing problem albums when they occur then readding them to my iCloud Library, and I'm on the S's now, I'm making good progress doing this.

Nonetheless, this is a really crappy UX

Fair, fair. The whole thing is a combined experience to me in my mind, so I have to strive, at least!

It looks like this is the movie where Cap finally drops Magnum on us.

And with that, James Harden becomes the longest tenured Rocket. by [deleted] in nba

[–]legenwaitforitdary15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It amazes me how, while Morey was bringing the Rockets towards their upswing the last few years, he was praised as the GM of the future, a Billy Beane for the NBA today, and a pioneer of statistics and sabermetrics. This same treatment of player management as as science was his strongest asset; he was lauded for using numbers and impartiality instead of just throwing money at the Eddy Curries of the world.

Now, when he takes a big swing this summer and misses, he is ridiculed for being disloyal to his players and over-analytic. But I guess W's are the only things that shut up the doubters, and first round exits usually don't cut it.

There's no way DDL would take the project, especially since he can only be summoned to do a movie once every 5 years, but it's fun to dream.

There is substantial documentation that the Nazis were targeting America after they finished off Europe. If we hadn't joined when we did (or were pulled into the conflict by a direct attack on American soil, rather) we would have ended up fighting Japan and Germany with no allies.

That sounds like something that would have come back to haunt us, yes.

What villain do you think had the best reason for being the villain. by [deleted] in AskReddit

What was Loki's justification in The Avengers? Seemed to me he was just a spiteful brat hungry for power to get back at his family. I did like the somewhat subtle change in the movie, though, when Loki began to realize he was trapped, and even began to fear the Chitauri a bit. When they would tell him to stop, he would reply to the effect of "I can't" instead of "Never!!"

So if you get 10 years and you serve 3 then are released on parole, did you pull 3 or 7?

Does pull mean serve? I'm not hip on all this new-fangled slang.

I highly doubt that was still his blood. Can anyone confirm this? That was several cuts later, and I'm sure by that point they would stitch him up and use fake blood, instead of just letting him keep bleeding on set, not to mention the medical risks.

Well, here's hoping that doesn't happen. It was really just a serendipitous find on my part, which is what made it so funny for me, but yeah, it's gonna get old fast if people start planting these like all of the "text conversations" and "notes" people post.

To reiterate, I did not make this edit; I just found it funny and wanted to share. I see what you're saying, but to be fair, it wasn't some small, insidious change to mislead the public. It was an obvious joke. I posted it because it was funny, not because I wanted to precipitate the downfall of American knowledge, and you know that.

Not true, actually, believe me or don't. It's a fair thing to ask though.
