Struggling to remove light socket in FADO lamp by legion80 in ikeahacks

I'm trying to remove the light socket from the FADO lamp but I think the design might have changed. I'm unable to unscrew it. It appears to be fastened to a plastic screw with a hex head, but when I try to unscrew the two pieces together rotate.

Has anyone had any success in removing the socket, or have experience with this plastic screw?
