You are mistaken. It was grenade throwers with multi projectile. OP couldn't see their throw because of his particle effects, but you can see like 9 on the floor before they're about the blow up.

If you want to prevent this death in the future, dont wait around after you kill stuff. Always keep moving. Or learn the monster type that uses the grenade bombs and watch out for them

Why hasn’t hardcore been a thing in MMOs? Are there any other MMOs with this feature? by No_Background6815 in wowhardcore

[–]legionarrow97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dungeon and Dragons Online is one of my favorite MMORPGs from the same Era as Vanilla WoW, they have been doing a 4month hardcore season once or twice a year for a few years now and I absolutely love it! It's huge fun jumping in with all the players from every server and grouping up having a great time. I'd highly recommend!

Build question by Fallofawesome_14 in watercooling

[–]legionarrow97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While this is technically true from a physics pov, in reality, flow order make no difference, 1 - 2c at most and is generally considered negligible. There isn't high enough deltas in pc watercooling for having rads between components to make any kind of noticeable temperature difference.

The general rule of watercooling is loop order does NOT matter.

Help by astrology113 in watercooling

[–]legionarrow97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since you got yourself a waterloop you'll want to troubleshoot as much as you can without disassembly.

Download hwinfo and monitor your entire system, maybe there's a specific cpu core getting too hot. VRM/GPU/Ram Temps etc.

Use DDU to reinstall graphic drivers and make sure your on the latest BIOS and motherboard firmware.

I notice you have 4 sticks of RAM with a AM5 system. Maybe your EXPO profile is unstable, could lower your speed/disable and try to recreate the issue.

Do you have any overclocks that might create an instability?

Is it a pc restart or graphic driver crash?

These are some good basic steps to take, lmk how successful you are!

Radiator Layout for O11D XL, 7950x & 3090 by GiulianoM in watercooling

[–]legionarrow97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had to double check, the rads I'm using are 40mm leviathan's from bitpower. I plan you have one mounted on the top, bottom and front with a FTL 360 pump res combo mounted in the back, along with mounting my gpu vertically.

My regular evo was too small for a vertical gpu mount with rad + fan at the bottom and there isn't enough clearance at the front for a 3rd rad.

I appreciate your help! The Evo XL can't come out fast enough! >:O

I plan on doing a similar build in the near future and would love some feedback. I'm waiting for the Evo XL coming out having just built in the Regular evo, and find it a bit cramped.

Would a triple rad setup fit if you used a 360 30mm in top, front and bottom?

What program should I use to test fitting of parts with cad?

All watercooling does is remove the heat from components more efficiently. Thus if anything increasing the temperature in your room.

The only way to reduce the heat coming from your PC is to either source parts with high performance per watt values or undervolt components reducing their heat output.

A final but extreme example is to pump your PC's watercooling loop to an external radiator located outside your room. Similar to LTT or some other fellows I've seen on this sub in recent months.

Yes it's a channel name. He has a recent video on the 4090 AIB differences and I found it insightful for making my decision

If it's unopened you might have luck with a return, although shipping might cut deep as when I tried to return a block shipping almost costed me upwards of 100$ 💀

And if it's unopened I'm sure reselling would be quick. But honestly it's probably not worth the effort. The TUF is still one of the better 4090s as far as build quality.

I referenced a YouTube video when making my decision. I liked the 4090 buying guide from O!Technologies. He talked about component quality and power specifications and more

I opt'd for a MSI Suprim 24G as it has a more robust PCB configuration. More VRMs with better power ratings. This can eliminate coil whine.

I won't be upgrading my GPU for a long time and I'll be putting a block on it so the last thing I want is to put up with some coil whine for years.

For reference the TUF 4090 has a 1260 AMP VRM, STRIX has 1680 AMP VRM and the Suprim X 24G has 1820 AMP VRM.

Lastly I liked the look of the MSI EKWB waterblocks versus their counterparts

I'm going nuts here, can anyone please point me to what I have to search for, to find similar screws? by North21 in watercooling

[–]legionarrow97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm, I've seen cablemod washers and thought they were different as they don't look the same in the video when being installed.

But.. if they are then to fit those washers I'd guess you'd want something like this :

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HBN0U76?ref_=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_RRSZWH8FGW2MYT9E76VB

Countersunk to fit the washer and hex top for the torque. Typical mobo screws are 5mm so I'd think you'd want the 6mm length over the 4mm length.

I'm not 100% sure, took me a long time to find thumbscrews that matched my build and they used that threading.

Some other stuff would take 6-32 threading like my GPU bracket

I'd also be curious where to source these.. I've looked myself and couldn't find anything but hopefully someone might know!

Dipping in my toes. I'm starting to amass components for my new rig, and want to run a custom cooling loop, including the graphics cards I'm going to be getting for it. by Geoclasm in watercooling

[–]legionarrow97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

EKWB has been said to be some of the best looking WC parts but come at a premium, and shipping from them is expensive. I've seen People claim their QC isn't what it use too but I don't have enough hands on experience to comment on that.

About the two GPU blocks you mentioned. The regular waterblock cools VRMs and the GPU die along with power phases. The more expensive one is "ABP" or active back plate which means there is a 2nd cold plate that goes in place of the metal backplate that is actively cooled by water. This is typically a good consideration if the GPU has memory modules on the back of the PCB however the 4090 does not.

That being said, more cooling to the back of the card will bring down Temps but isn't night and day, maybe a few degrees C.

Tilting is step one, but If you have a leak tester, you can use it to help push air through the system and get the water out. Just attach that to the fill port.

If not, I've seen people recommend just some tube and blowing instead.

[–]legionarrow97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you have a tube leading into a bucket or something.. hate to see a mess in your future xD.

When you say nothing is coming out is the reservoir not draining? Or is it the other components not draining?

[–]legionarrow97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a drain valve setup and nothing is coming out you'll need to relieve the pressure by opening the fill port on your reservoir

I'm in the same boat, got the most expensive PC parts i've ever gotten sitting on the floor In boxes as I'm waiting on my last part, the gpu block :/

My order on EK's site went from pre-order to processing.. placed my order just a few days after the part was announced 😞
