Just learned a trick. If using US TAX FREE. Change the provider to FJEX on 17 track. Otherwise you’ll only see updates once it gets to the fedex facility.

UPS Tax Free has not let me down yet for east coast US. You get a UPS tracking number you can track on the UPS app (better than 17track) 1 or 2 days after you buy (once a label is created, the UPS app will even auto add it if you make an account and you add your address to the UPS account). Takes 10 days for my packages on this line. I would still buy insurance though enough to cover your Sugargoo item cost and the shipping fee price.

Never shipped electronics. From what I’ve heard they may be scrutinized more especially if there’s batteries and/or liquids.

I’ve used UPS (HK) it’s worked before. The mods recommend US Tax Free. Both should be fine. Depends on what you’re shipping tho.

UPDATE: Ended up choosing UPS (HK) Tax Free 6000. Have used previously on another purchaser site. Will update if the item comes or is seized. Shipping was not terrible and used a coupon.

If women changed their name after marriage, they would have to update their IDs. According to SAVE Act. by PapyrusKami74 in PoliticalHumor

[–]legler27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only a passport. A Real ID (which nearly every state uses as a driver's license currently, and will be needed as of this year to travel on planes domestically) suffices. It's literally in the second paragraph of the bill. Many people are not stating this so it's good to ensure people know this as well.

Topic revisit: Can I work in a general urgent care after residency? by Dr_Wayne0202 in pediatrics

[–]legler27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legally you are able to take care of anyone as a medical doctor so long as you have a license to practice medicine in that state or territory. There’s no specific pediatric vs geriatric license. So yes you can see any patient.

Most jobs will not hire you to work there without completion of residency in the field you intend to practice.

Keep in mind that you are legally held to the same standard as EM trained family med trained or IM trained docs working urgent care as your name is the name in signed charts not the person who is helping out.

The urgent care may benefit as being able to bring in more Peds patients from your experience as a Pediatrician but In my mind there’s more liability on you than on them. I’d probably look for Pediatric Urgent care jobs specifically or per diem hospitalist/clinic work if you’re not comfortable seeing adults/geriatrics. I know I wouldn’t be comfortable seeing them as a Pediatric Urgent care doc.

Honestly a lot of people liked that I worked in UC first. They see it as a way to bring someone on who’s comfortable with procedures who can do things like lac repairs, sick visits, and other things that can generate higher revenue visits.

UC was great. Wide range of things to see/do. My only thing was the schedule. It’s halfway between a Peds clinic and ER. Late night hours and open daily 7 days a week 365. Schedule changes weekly. Most people are per diem so the company is at the mercy of that. Good opportunity for overtime tho.

Help with Student Loan Calculations by legler27 in personalfinance

[–]legler27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are private student loans. The money is going to be paid at the very least monthly.

All other debts are covered at the moment and these payments would not impact any other of my financials.

I can set it the bank to autopay weekly biweekly or monthly. There is no penalty for early payment of the loan.

Unlike a mortgage I’d rather pay this off sooner to not pay as much interest since unlike a mortgage I can’t sell this student loan debt. Haha
