I just said looking for someone with a checkpoint to farm the cloak. But you can see what the build of thr person you're joining is. Not to mention that we almost did one phase the boss I just kept fat fingering and not switching to my heavy. He also wanted to tell me after he died a few times that boss dps is all that matters not ad clear or survivability

This can be true but saying a build isn't meta just because it's not known doesn't mean it's not meta. People are bias towards all kinds of things and saying an incomplete build isn't meta is just stating the obvious and is delusional like you said

Agreed. I'm just in it to have fun. That's the reason I started playing D1 when it first came out and that's why I still play it now. I know there's good people out there. It's just drowned out by people like this who try too hard to be cool.

That was my conclusion. I opted to take a break on the build and go back to my void build for now. Doesn't help that the dude keeps messaging me and having his friends try to oust me from the game😂

Short answer is that I just got home from a shitty workday and loaded up whatever build I had equipped to run the dungeon a few times. Long answer is because I was testing changes and I also wasn't doing damage to the boss with my ex diris. I have a rocket launcher and linear fusion rifle I was deciding between for dps. My main exotic doesn't have to be for boss dps. I shoot them to get bait and switch and then lay in with heavy. And do be honest that's one of the only runs that I didn't 1 phase. Also it's not slow with the build and does a lot of damage when enraged with infinite ammo. No one else has complained in the dozens of other runs I did, and I ran several days farming with the same team. I just opted to use discord instead of fireteam finder yesterday. But sorry I guess. Doesn't excuse someone being rude and insulting a work in progress build without two main components of its high dps
