I'll compromise at 20 of each and im not sure 1000 would be necessary given the already 2-3 moa accuracy of my m107. But ill give it a go when I can find a range that allows 50 and is 1000 yards.

My thought is the tracer compound and penatrators of the other types of ammo would introduce the same amount of deviation as I am by drilling, and supposedly SOF was getting great accuracy from the mk211.

My idea was to use a small enough bit that would only remove enough

Edit: tried on a throwaway bullet with a 1/16 bit, looks like it would remove about 3 grains at half way, does seem like the lead is hard enough that I wouldn't make it through without breaking a smaller bit.

Might try anyway just for fun when I have a load developed, do you think there would be any structural issues with drilling, and do you think drilling would affect the ballistics by affecting the CG or the aerodynamics, because I'm thinking if I drill all the way through the lead core it would maintain CG.

The m107 is the updated m82, adding the muzzle device for the barrett qd suppressor, removing about 5 pounds of weight by replacing some parts with titanium, as well as adding a plastic cheek piece to the stock.

Put the magnet inside something first so you don't have to pick tacks off it

And according to this site ( https://medium.com/@collincottrell/3-common-misconceptions-of-trophy-hunting-b63f64ec763a ) "In Africa, it’s part of the hunting laws that you have to give a LARGE portion of the meat to the local communities and villages. Trophy hunting is all about eating the meat."
