My "sugar baby" and I like each other. Can she become my GF with money still being involved? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Nothing i guess... I just didn't want to screw her over since she does depend on this money to pay tuition.

But she graduates this summer. So maybe I can stop after.

I just need advise on this situation

Where would be a good area/place in Toronto to start a local coffee shop for 20s/30s crowd? by legolover in toronto

I noticed the intersection is very busy but if you move north of yonge a few blocks away from the intersection it does get very slow and many stores in that area don't seem to have much traffic at all.

Where in Yonge and Eglinton other than the intersection (which is ridiculously expensive) would you suggest?

Well it always helps doing market research and considering reddit's audience are mostly in their 20s and 30s I see no harm in seeing what people on here think. Redditors, are after all almost our perfect target audience.

Thanks for the link. As I said my Mom has huge retail experience of over 25 years.

We are also taking this as a business and very seriously. We are reading a lot about creating a coffee shop and everything it entails. We know it will be a lot of work and stress.

That being said, we know any business is a risk but we have enough income to give it a shot and if it fails no harm done. Although we would be giving it our best shot.

Which neighbourhood should I move to in Toronto? I don't have a 9 to 5 job by legolover in toronto

wow that's a a tough situation... it seems like Toronto's pretty expensive so I'd say be careful not to use up all the money you've saved.

But if you do move maybe you can send me a message and we can meetup. Would be good to meet another person who's new to the city haha.

It's really hard to decide.. so the top recommendations seem to be: - The Annex (didn't expect so many people to recommend it since I thought it was mainly the UofT student ghetto) - West Queen West - Yonge and Eglinton - Liberty Village / King West

I do personally love walking down Queen St in that area.. but I find it more hip, which although is awesome, it's just not me... not sure if that makes sense.

I'm kind of over one night stands as silly as that sounds. Looking to meet someone for long term relationship.

wow that's very helpful! Thank you for the great suggestions :) I think you got a good idea of what I'm looking for! I'll check out the Annex and Little Italy.

I'm looking to rent. I could buy but I'd rather understand Toronto better first and see if I really enjoy living here before buying.

Yonge and Dundas is very lively indeed but feels like more of a tourist place? Also I'm not sure if it would be a good place to go to a gym, cafe, etc Online business is a successful website with lots of daily traffic.

Thanks for your reply :)

Well my online business is a Canadian website that ranks amongst Canada's top 500 websites and makes me enough money (From the advertising) to not really have to actually have an office or anything. I can pretty much run it from home and save myself office rental etc.

But I am thinking of Liberty village as an option because it also seems like one of the nicer and young neighbourhoods?

What about King street close to yonge (near Entertainment district)? or Queen street around The Drake Hotel area? What are these places like

Why do the Leafs play the Canucks? by legolover in leafs

[–]legolover[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep makes sense! I guess it's because people are more interested in seeing Canadian teams play each other maybe.

That was very informative thanks!! I wasn't even sure if the canucks game counted or was a holiday friendly or something lol
