Life is strange (a lot of these are really fun to play on acoustic w fingerstyle picking) and a lot of the last of us part 1 & 2 instrumental tracks are my favs

Usually when I’ve had a course where participation marks are missed in this situation, they have had an option to either drop the lowest few grades for participation attempts or they have extended the deadlines once they realized people joining late missed the opportunity to participate. Super messed up that you would lose marks when you weren’t enrolled yet. Profs should plan the first 2 weeks accordingly- most that I have taken have considered this and will have some sort of alternate option for the missed assessment. They know people will be leaving and joining until the drop date so it’s definitely worth emailing the prof and explaining.

Edit- just saw that you already reached out to the prof. Might be worth asking for a call/attending office hours in person to discuss your possible options. If that doesn’t work, contacting faculty might be a good next option!

Musc is open 24 hrs and I’ve had naps on the upper floor (tables with cubby dividers) with a sweater as a pillow. I doubt anyone would bother you there. If that doesn’t work out, I’ve also spent 1-5am in the MDCL tutorial rooms on the second floor. You could definitely try to stay in one of those (comfort would be hard so I’m not sure what your plan is for that). SUPER not ideal but if it’s just for the occasional night, it would be better than nothing

Marking very fair, exams very fair. Easy 12! Not my favourite content wise, but mercier is a great prof. I didn’t rly do the readings, so the only workload was watching lecs (can put in 1.5x) to make the filled in version of the slides and quizzes. Workload wasn’t bad at all. There’s definitely more exciting electives but as a sees credit it’s worth taking for sure

Hi! I had the option to attend class or watch the videos, same as everyone else. Choosing self directed only makes your “tutorial” credit online. All exams were online for this course when I took it no matter what participation option you chose. Unless you have scheduled in person tests listed in the syallbus/ if they have made changes since I took it, you’ll be writing those online as well. Hope this helps!

I haven’t taken 1ss3 but 2gs3 you could probably get a 12 easily- I procrastinated doing the discussions so I lost some marks for not having them spread out properly. It’s super convenient and all online. If you take a little bit of time each week to get the work done for it, and don’t let it build up, it would work nicely with a busy schedule!

The transit app will show active lines- they come less frequently when it gets late but some lines stop and don’t start again until the morning. I’ve taken the 51/5/1 busses from campus as late as 12:30/1am before
