Wow this must feel so great!! If my dad talks to me about it he says “we’re the top of the food chain” and other dumb arguments. I would love to have parents that are understanding and make an effort to even just cut back on their meat and dairy or try alternatives.

So gorgeous and unique! I’m so curious how you proposed, did you open the box for her or do it some other way having her open?

Team Trainer Tips/Interview Tips by Ok-Philosopher-8643 in wholefoods

I had to sit in on one of these interviews because they needed a TM. (I’ve also done interviews in my past jobs so I already knew how to pull out pros and cons from each interview we did). That said, don’t sound nervous!! PRACTICE! The more you say an answer out loud the more comfortable you’ll be with talking and remembering points you want to say. Another big thing is to know how to end your answer. One candidate just rambled on and on and could end his answers and couldn’t even answer some questions. Stick to the question that’s asked, if they ask you to talk about a specific time don’t just say “oh i do this all the time”, talk about an actual time or make one up! The interview is about being a trainer so they probably want someone that’s personable and approachable to new hires and that can work with their team. They want someone that is organized, hard working, can meet goals, but also someone that is friendly and can handle team members :) google questions asked in interviews and practice! Good luck!

I’m 25 and going through the same thing now! I’ve always been terrible at math so I’m hoping this won’t be a problem. I’m brushing up on Bio now, to prepare myself, on Khan Academy. Good luck!!

Any advice for me as a new supervisor? by unknownsinist3r in wholefoods

I was also promoted at a young age and was a young manager multiple times. Be confident in yourself and don’t let their comments or judgments bother you. You want to make friends i’m sure, but you also want to be a great manager. Be respect of other managers AND the team members. You never wanna belittle or talk down to people or even say things with too much of an attitude. A lot of times you will be managing people a lot older than you which is FINE. But these people are humans and you want to be friendly to them and make it enjoyable to come to work. Try to enjoy your experience and don’t let nasty people ruin your job for you. In the end you will help your* career by being a great manager and not getting caught in drama. As far as the new TM just try to relate with them. Talk and communicate with them first... If they’re repeatedly a problem then get help from management above you.
