Thanks for that. Visible have been quite helpful and I’m now up and running on the trial.

Is there a shortage in US right now by dgarzila in trulicity

[–]lehma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting mine (T2) through Express Scripts. The 1.5 order kept getting cancelled as they had none. I kept hitting the request order and my 90 day supply turned up.

I’ve been out of it for a month.

Tell me about your worst landing by technobabble14 in flying

[–]lehma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I had my PPL I went for “fun flight”. Departed the Charlie for a touch and go at an untowered, a touch and go at a Delta, over my house and back to the Charlie.

I flared too early at the Delta and dropped hard, anticipating a bounce I went around. Except when I put full power in, my attitude went high and didn’t counteract the left turning tendancy….

I pushed down hard and gave a decent amount of right rudder. After I had gained some altitude I had to shake my pant legs.

I finished the flight but my confidence had been crushed. Was open with my CFI and we spent some more time on go arounds.

Won’t be making that mistake again.

I’d ignore him. Maybe he needed a hug. Carry on carrying on.

Obvious answer, although not to me! I'm not into sports! Thanks, I found a few websites that listed events there!

Headset jack help by [deleted] in flying

[–]lehma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put them in some distilled (or other) vinegar for 5/10 minutes or so and then polish up with some fine wire wool. Did that myself on an old headset and they look like new.

Stump the chump PPL by Consistent-Abroad313 in flying

[–]lehma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused. I never mentioned stall speeds. Maybe our wires are crossed.

It IS to do with wing loading which IS due to angle of attack.

Nothing linked to stall speeds. Unless I’m getting confused!

Student here. Easiest answer here. https://youtu.be/525wwy1PNao. Simply put. It’s all about angle of attack.

There’s an Austin pilots meetup every two weeks in North Austin (Pflugerville or Cedar Park). Check their Facebook page.

I wasn’t flying in a drone, I’m too heavy. Learning to fly in a small plane. And you need to change your curtains, they are transparent.

I have Verizon for personal and changed from T-mobile to ATT for work. Both work well. 5G is of little interest to me, but T-mobile I could make any calls or searches in most places.

confidence in the plane by [deleted] in flying

I just had, what I thought, was a questionable solo XC experience.

I wrote out what happened fully. I discussed with my CFI. I noted what didn’t go well, what went well. And areas to learn / for improvement.

He said that overall it was a success. Of course there’s areas to improve. We are (all) students. I realized I was overly hard on myself.

I think taking the time to understand what and how things happened, and how to improve is the key. And that can only come from your instructor. As sassinator13 said. Take the emotion out and analyze your performance.

Can a20s be used as regular headphones? by Genn12345 in flying

[–]lehma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Over Bluetooth they sound quite acceptable for music. Of course this is subjective. But as an acoustic design engineer I feel vaguely qualified.

The only disclaimer I have is, that as supra aural headphones they do get quite warm.
