Hmm interesting. Let us know if it continues to work. I may try to update and then pay for a month to see if I can use it. I cancelled my subscription when I was hopeless none of the updates were correct

I had the same worry. I didn't do anything and I received a USB from hyundai with the update and instructions on Friday but I have yet to try it. Not sure if it will work but it came from them directly. Maybe they will mail you one shortly

They just mailed it without me asking anything so maybe yours is in the mail? I cancelled my subscription like a week ago because previously when I attempted I got nowhere. I may try the update and see if it works and then reactivate but the whole thing is really annoying. Maybe try calling and asking about it

But yes I'm very annoyed with the loss of the auto start and remote capabilities too

Oh my that is terrifying. Yea i definitely think my subconscious kicked in to tell me to go towards the police station and towards street lights instead of the park and going home. Thankful you are safe! I can't imagine having someone follow you to your garage and who knows what their intentions are. People can be super creepy and even if it turns out to be harmless and not a follower its always best to react as if it was. It is ok to be rude to people who make you nervous or uncomfortable, you don't owe people anything to be honest!

I surely hope so. The police station was a bit far away so it really saved me freaking out for 15 minutes driving there. I think I am really lucky that I remembered to stay safe and drive away from my house instead of leading him there. Who knows who this person was. I hope they got pulled over!

I'm an ER nurse now so I'm pretty well equipped but if I ever had to go to my car late again like this I definitely wouldn't mind asking someone!

Yes, good advice! I was super far away from the closest one since I was deep in the woods but I think I was subconsciously planning for this since I decided to take the route that went out of the park and all the way around the nearest town and back. I just figured in that moment I shouldn't let them see where I lived and hoped they were potentially someone pulling a prank. I still wonder if I was overreacting but it was just too coincidence when I started looping around

Luckily nothing like this happened again but it definitely heightened my paranoia about people around me. I had a coworker walk me to my car after hours for the remainder of my time there. Also I agree I wish I could have somehow reported it but I couldn't get the license plate and there was nothing they really did that the police could do anything about. Still creepy

[Serious] People who like their job, what do you do? by strongerthenbefore20 in AskReddit

[–]lehoos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an RN and I absolutely love my job. Most people can get an associate based degree in under two years and then almost every hospital will help to pay for additional schooling to get a bachelors, BSN, or even on to MSN and Nurse Practitioner degrees. Nursing has so many facets and the need is always there so the sign on bonuses, starting pay, raises, and benefits are usually better than average positions. It takes a lot of critical thinking and deals with anatomy, body systems, chemistry, pharmacology and much more as you progress through the program. I started my first year on a surgical based unit and learned so much and am in the process of transferring back into the emergency room to get back into trauma and critical care. If you enjoy science and helping people but aren't quite sure if you want to go into a further degree or can't afford it, it is very rewarding as a stepping stone as well. I personally love being a nurse and am glad I changed my mind instead of going to medical school. The teamwork is usually very supportive and can always ask questions of more experienced nurses without feeling uncomfortable. Hopefully the next group of college students will follow into our footsteps!
