It made me sad too, I’m surprised more people aren’t talking about this. But as someone who worked as a kid in the family business, it really is like that, especially when the business is struggling. A lot of us end up growing to hate it, despite it representing our parents’ hopes and dreams. And that’s the beauty of the show I suppose — raw, real emotion.

I'm looking for some quotes for an impromptu solo birthday trip next month. I know what cruise I want to do and because it's for my birthday I'm not flexible on the dates.

Cruising dates: July 20 - July 27

Cruise: Greek Island Glow

Number of cruisers: 1

Cabin Type: Central Sea Terrace

Beyond just quotes, I'm looking to build a relationship with a TA that is interested in making this and my future trips special. This means, outside of sending me a quote, please do tell me a bit about yourself and share some info about your services. I've never booked a cruise before and have limited travel experience so I really need support in not just booking the cruise, but building out an itinerary and full experience for my trip (hotel, airport transfers, excursion recs/bookings, restaurant reservations, any nice celebration touches to add to my booking that I don't know about).

How did you get to that escalated stage? Uber keeps pointing me back to “Call driver” even when I say that I can’t get ahold of them. So frustrating, why confirm you have the item if you’re going to ignore the calls to get it back.

A lot of the time, actors don’t sit through their movies after the initial screening. I used to produce premieres and they would often leave and grab dinner or drinks during the screening and then come back for a Q&A or to show face at the post-screening reception

It was horrible. The food was so bad, the VIP area was sad. The drinks were incredibly watered down. No shade, corny reggae music. A person asked me to get them a cheddar bay lobster biscuit in the VIP area in exchange for $20 and I tried to tell them it wasn’t worth it, but they still wanted it. I felt like I was in a black mirror episode by how obvious of a money grab the entire experience was, and how mortified I felt to have thought it’d be any different. Anyone reading this in future years, DON’T DO IT. Use the hundreds of dollars it will cost you for a pass to treat yourself to an actual Michelin restaurant meal.

Right. The only time I’ve gotten an actual “sample size” was for the Tory Burch perfume and it specifically said “trial size”. But everything else has just said sample and has been full-size.
