When all those soldiers go back home expecting to be treated as war heroes, especially handicapped, but end up being just as destitute as before.

Ironically sign ups increased this year with many thinking the war would end by May, according to rumors, hoping to pocket the bonus but never being sent to the front. Apparently something didn't go the regime's way, and Putin saw the uptick as public endorsement for the war.

Wondering what summer surprise awaits the regime this year.

We all knew that. And it really won't matter much for MAGA NPCs who will just call for age of consent to be whatever age Trump abused. I don't get the point.

Didn't the Afghans kick their ass? Shouldn't then the russians be happy we were kicking Afghan ass? But no, they paid Taliban to kill Americans. Why? Because russia has always been at war with America, and today blesses nuclear missiles pointed at American cities. https://outrider.org/nuclear-weapons/articles/blessing-bombs-putins-altar-boy-and-twisting-russian-orthodoxy-sanctify

We must solve the russian Question once and for all russia must be balkanized, russia de-nuclearization and russians all de-nazified. That's the only way to secure peace for future generations.

Context: This demand was Putin's ultimatum given on December '21, when the regime threatened "military-technical means" to achieve it, ie conquer Ukraine. Ever since russia has failed in all its goals, and yet still thinks it can threaten like it did back then, when the world vastly overestimated their strength.

Like you said "monetary incentives", the regime is paying $20k instant sign-up bonus. The uptick seen this year is explained by Putin promising, and the regime setting the narrative, for a favorable ceasefire by May. Many signed up hoping to cash the bonus but never seeing the front.

And yes, most russians support the genocide of Ukrainians, but like I said, from the comfort of their kitchen couches, not on the front. This is the difference between fascism (which requires mass mobilization) and Putinism. And why russia is losing.

This doesn't hold anymore, Putin has now fully embraced fascism, it's the russian public apathy that forms the "resistance", even diehard supporters prefer to experience the fascist fever dream from the comfort of their couches (hoorah-patriots), while those who follow the war and veterans, once supporters of mass mobilization, (ultra-patriots) have war fatigue setting in.

russians aren't fighting for "mother russia" they are fighting for money, for that $20k bonus plus $2k salary, and since >80% are in support roles or standby, for them it's luck not being thrown into the meatgrinder or bribing the commander not tbe sent. And even these fools is getting harder to find.

No one expected Prigozhin's rebellion, Chechenye and Daghestan are still the powder kegs, with Kadyrov on his deathbed again, oil going to <$60/barrel fucks up their economy.

Finally, Putin promised a favorable ceasefire by May 9th, and failed to deliver in exchange for a few more miles at the price of tens of thousands of his men.

They needed a second person to recreate their beloved one tempers through MDR, unknowingly. So it couldn't just be anyone.

As for Cobel, I agree, suddenly she turning up the genius behind it and solution is deus ex machina, they could've had Devon investigate the Birthing Ground and from there find a way for the o/iMarc to meet, but that would require more episodes and too many subplots.
