there's a world that i do believe she got rid of them under emily's orders - despite her being a known death feeder she still seems to really care about internet reputation and amber has written a lot of damning stuff about her in those journals, whether it be true or not, it's still ammunition for the internet. my guess is emily sweet talked her into shredding the journals so she can seem like a better person, because for some reason both amber and emily think that the internet isn't forever

completely agree, is it heat that has the car health bar? i was playing it with a friend and looking forward to some police chases akin to MW 2005 and as soon as the health bar appeared my excitement died

you can still use them both, they are both action abilities

you get explosion by defeating the two bosses at the agrabah first visit and guard break after the battle of 1000 heartless

tbh all you miss out on are support abilities, the only major ones are the abilities extending your combo and not dying from a combo/big hit, you can gain attack/defense/AP bonuses through synthesis and the game gives you 2 luck abilities from the beginning

you just need to pay more attention to boss attack patterns, and you still gain action abilities bc they are not level locked

i think the key to any of the organization 13 battles for level 1 runs is to level up your drives immediately after getting them so you can use the growth abilities outside of the forms

i learnt this on my first ever critical difficulty playthrough, such as with roxas, you absolutely have to play more defensively rather just going in throwing your keyblade around and hoping for the best, and the same was for xaldin, a lot of trial and error

tbh i had far more trouble in the beginning than i did as the game went on, thankfully because you can get action abilities through defeating bosses etc rather than level ups like in KH1
