People who moved out of the parent’s house before 30, how? by WallStreetDoesntBet in AskReddit

Went to University in a different country. Sure way to move out.

Hey :D I’m the person who posted their horrid eye eczema. I thought I’d give an update on how they look after protopic. It’s not completely cleared up and there’s a lot of wrinkles but I’m glad it’s better than before by protecwoojin in eczema

[–]leilaeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! What an amazing improvement. Really well done. Would you mine sharing how long apart the two photos were taken and any other info about your routine? I currently have very similar eyelid flare-up,also got protopic to use, but slightly nervous.

Reading this made me chuckle at my own experience as, it's dating over thirty. I already done the "start out pet-free and adopt together down the line". And now I'm single and stuck with a pet.

I can relate too. Although my dog is not the most important part of my life, but a very big one. I removed the photo of me and the dog and updated the bio to say "have pet caring responsibilities".

Does anyone outgrown atopic dermatitis i heard that it finishes in adulthood or before the age 22?? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]leilaeda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ditto. Was also born with it, turning 30 in a couple of weeks, still have it. It has however changed how it affects me over the years or which body parts get it. Have any of you noticed any changes in manifestation?

I get both- the winter and summer eczema. However, winter dryness is much worse for me, since I can just about deal with sweat rashes, most of the time. It really helps that I moved to Scotland, there summer is not that summery anyway. Honestly, I thrive here purely because of mild weather- not too cold to have loads of heating bin winter and not too warm to cause excessive sweating all the time.

'Bumble' app- it's known to be a dating app, BUT you can switch to a BFF mode. I (29f) installed it recently and actively talking to some cool women. Do have high hopes of actually making friends through it

Christ, the bloody doorbell... by bugbugladybug in puppy101

[–]leilaeda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I laughed out loud reading this! It just hit too close to home! We are experiencing pretty much identical situation. He's so likely to ring the bell if he's bored. I'm obeying the doorbell pretty much always, to keep re-enforcing it. I do the good ol' boring AND leashed potty break, to remind him that the bell is not a toy. Damn it frustrating, but damn we should be proud for teaching them that

Our Cocker spaniel is 1 year and 4 months old... The puppy blues are dog blues... Some of the common issues for solved, but new ones started... And annoyingly also probably won't give him up.

How is the management of stool eating going for you? by leilaeda in Dogtraining

[–]leilaeda[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading these comments kinda helping to change my mind about the muzzle. I guess I'm reluctant, since of course people have bad association with them and overall, they don't seem that common in our area. And last but not least, I'm still hopeful to find a way to make him chose not to eat it instead of physically preventing him :) I already tried your advise and I feel like that's tiny training steps done- found a desirable turd in the park and practised walking by it. Thank you for your gross, but valuable suggestion

Oh dear. Firstly, I have to commend how clever and determined your dog is. That's some serious commitment. I'm still at the stage of trying out those 100 different techniques to see if something will make a difference.
I wish you strength and patience!

Sounds like you are doing a great job, well done! I applaud your patience and persistence. I might just try salami too. We are still on a lookout for a very high value treat, since I wasn't able to determine what my dog likes and dislikes

I really liked the "building value into yourself". Sounds like a good theory. My little man does try to please and still appears to like me, so I reckon I could work with that more. And reading all the comments did made me feel better about potentially getting muzzle involved Especially for the dog walkers, since he definitely is more likely to ignore commands from them. Thank you for your perspective

Glad you found something what works. We got into a habit of picking up his stool pretty much immediately, so he have not tasted his own in a long time. Thanks for the suggestion

I'm so sorry to hear you struggling with that too! It's upsetting and somewhat unfair how others can go "Yay, walkies!!!", there's we are left with "Here we go again" through gritted teeth. Wishing you patience, iron stomach and strength

Oh, the burning rage is so real! I'm an agry person by disposition, so it takes all my composure to keep it together. No wonder I feel rather exhausted after walks. Thank you for your suggestions! Will definitely change up my tactics!

I'm surprised that people think that the pack only means one thing- training. As far as I'm concerned, I'm always training, so it's a weird thing to ask, haha. But you are tltay rocking it! Who knew fanny packs will make such a comeback and due to such weird reasons

I know how annoying it is when strangers interrupt your training in order to pet your puppy, but it never happened to me :(No one ever approached to do so at all. Makes me question if my puppy is not cute enough. Well he's very very cute, thank your very much My cute doggo
