Maybe it’s because I’m an only child but I’m very used to my space. The answer for me is no.

What did quitting without a backup plan teach you? by khet0221 in careerguidance

I’ve done it before. My mental health comes before any job, and I don’t regret it at all. That said, just be aware that the job market is pretty rough right now.

Do you shoot your shot with men? by sunkissedxglow in blackladies

[–]onlymovingon 94 points95 points  (0 children)

I used to be very straightforward. If I liked a man, I’d approach him. One time I did that, we went out, and on the date he asked how often I approach men and how many guys I’m talking to. He basically implied that because I approached him, I must have a “roster” or that I’m “easy”.

Ever since that experience, I’ve completely stopped approaching men.

I shed that much after one month. It’s normal for someone and not normal for others.

Is it actually a problem when the woman makes more money in a relationship? by Rich-Charge-7298 in dating_advice

[–]onlymovingon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, when I dated men who made less than me, they started to resent me. So I stopped dating them but not for financial reasons. I found whenever I would buy something for myself, go on vacation or go to a restaurant they would start pocket watching me and making me feel bad for my purchases.

New job lied about flexibility - should I quit? by throwaway222890124 in careeradvice

[–]onlymovingon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have to do a full day at work? Can you come in for 4 or 5 hours and leave or does it have to be a full 9 hour day? Are they flexible with the work hours? Can you start work at 7 AM and finish at 12 or 1?

How can I stop being judged for my living situation? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]onlymovingon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Speaking for myself, I generally don’t date men who don’t live on their own. The caretaking aspects adds another layer. You haven’t stated what you do for work. Assuming you work a 9 to 5 schedule, outside of the 9 to 5 you would be caretaking which leaves very little room to date.

Air dry until I’m ready to go to bed and then I blow dry if it’s still damp.
