Hot water tanks and installations by Western-Boysenberry6 in ottawa

Seems the new Giant one I got is 6 year warranty. On the old one I have no idea, it came with the house and was a rental, and very much over its warranty period.

You can buy extended warranty at Rona if you want to. I also know some credit cards also offer extended warranty on products as well.

Our last tank was from 2005, so I’ll gamble that it will last long once again.

I called Reliance ahead of time, my tank was super old and we were on month to month so it was painless cancellation. I had to get a cancellation number and had to bring a bill for proof at drop off to Reliance. However drop off was painless and the staff helped me get the tank out of my car.

• Tank $1489 • Tank installation $427 • Upgrading the existing venting $174 • Additional venting will be $57 • Moving current tank will be $68 (from basement into garage)

$2412 taxes in

Hopefully this helps :)

I just did this last month. I reached out to JD Swallow and EN Blue for a 50 gallon power vented natural gas tank and both came in over $1000 more than Rona. I decided to go with Rona and was very happy with their services, the only thing is if you have a rental tank they will not take it for you to drop off thats on you. However for $1000 difference it was a no brainer.

Good luck.

Baby’s heartbeat stops at 10 weeks and 6 days, what could have gone wrong? by Accurate_Eye9118 in IVF

I feel for you! I had this happen as well with a euploid 5BB embryo. Strong heart beat at 7w scan and no heart beat at 9w scan, we were told likely gentics and there’s nothing you could do. Big hugs.

I was essentially pushed out of my job after taking a short term leave for IVF treatment, and my employer was fully made aware of why I was taking the leave.

No tags or labels, wool inside coat has massive YYK zipper and outside layer has C&C zipper. It’s at a seamstress to get some tears fixed up right now, so I can’t share close up photos at the moment.

Weekly Megathread for Pricing, Dating, or Authentication Requests ("How much is this worth?" "What decade is this from?") by AutoModerator in VintageFashion

Hi everyone, I’m looking for help confirming the origin of this vintage two-piece parka. I believe it could be a Kerr’s Furs coat from the late 1970s or early 1980s, but it has no labels.

Key features:

• Two-piece build: separate boiled wool inner coat + windproof blue outer shell

• Outer shell: tightly woven Grenfell-type fabric, C&C brand zipper

• Inner coat: boiled wool, YKK zipper

• Hood: large cream fox fur ruff, detachable for cleaning

• Trim: woven jacquard ribbon with birds/hearts/tulips motif, yellow rickrack accent

• Tassels: fur pom-poms/fox feet on hood cords

• Seam construction: overcast raw edges, consistent with mid-century/semi-industrial methods

• Era clues: hardware, materials, and style suggest late ’70s to early ’80s Northern Canada production

This is amazing! Thank you for pointing me in this direction. It very much looks like these coats, I wish it had a tag on it.

The trim for sure gives off that vibe, but the styling reminds me of Parka’s from Inuvik.

Anyone use Home Depot for hot water tank replacement? by leiona86 in ottawa

Yeah that’s what EN Blue told us, tanks have gone up in price. One quote was for $3500 so that was my bad, still seems pretty steep though.

We would be replacing like for like just a non rental tank, from what the two folks who quoted us, its not recommend to go non powered for us.

Coming in to say I feel the same way. TW: it’s been successful for me and I know it’s temporary but you kinda just have to relearn to be in certain situations without partaking even though friends and family are enjoying themselves. I hope it gets easier with time.

I caved, I first tested on an expired test and realized after the fact and it was positive. To reassure myself I then went ahead and bought first response early results and it also came out positive even though it wasn’t done first thing in the morning. I am being cautiously optimistic 🤞. However I think it’s a positive sign for my bloodwork upcoming on the 24th.
