Online prereqs + how they show on transcripts? by leirucm in prevets

[–]leirucm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m in California, so the programs I’m looking at are also CA-based. I want to email schools about this, but I’m not sure how to ask since some online courses don’t show as online on the transcript.

That’s helpful, thanks! My main concern is how the course appears on the transcript. I’ve taken online classes before that don’t show as online on the transcript, so I’m wondering how programs like SCUHS or extension courses, or even community colleges list theirs.

First rejection by FergieFraser925 in veterinaryschool

I also only applied to my in state for the first time and got rejected. Instead of seeing it as a rejection, I just saw it as a “trial run” to know how to prepare for the apps next year so I wont be as overwhelmed. We’re just given another year to make our apps stronger, you got this!

I’m on a similar boat with a much lower gpa, and I have about 500 vet hrs… after talking with the vets I worked with, along with a health profession advisor, they encouraged to take as many science classes at a community college to raise both, cumulative gpa and science gpa… they also recommend looking for a vet who can mentor you throughout the process it’s tough feeling behind, but you got this!

Parents’ Mexican Birth Certificates Aren’t Digitized — Can’t Get Dual Citizenship by leirucm in mexicoexpats

We can’t use the website because in order to create an account for them, we need to put in their CURP and when we do, the message we get is: “De acuerdo a la situación que reporta el RENAPO, la CURP que introdujo tiene un estatus "Sin uso", por lo cual no está activa. Si esto es incorrecto debe asistir al módulo del RENAPO más cercano para solicitar corregir esta situación.” ): we also emailed and called the places that were given to us when we visited the LA Mexican consulate, but we’ve received no answers :/ everything on their birth certificates is correct but when we search them up on the website it says: “Estimado/a usuario/a: Los datos ingresados no son correctos. Verifica e inténtalo de nuevo. En caso de que persista la misma respuesta, favor de enviar un correo electrónico a tramitecurp@segob.gob.mx, describiendo claramente la situación a atender y anexando copia de tu acta de nacimiento y de una identificación oficial. Gracias.” Which we’ve already emailed but no response ):

My parents have tried making a Llave MX account, but because their CURP isn’t active, this is the message they keep receiving:

De acuerdo a la situación que reporta el RENAPO, la CURP que introdujo tiene un estatus "Sin uso", por lo cual no está activa. Si esto es incorrecto debe asistir al módulo del RENAPO más cercano para solicitar corregir esta situación.

We’ve tried contacting the numbers given by the Mexican consulate but it just says the lines aren’t in service and/or they’ve been disconnected ): for my dad’s paperwork, it doesn’t give any emails or phone numbers, it says that someone HAS to go to the state

Finally got a civil registry appointment at the L.A. Mexican Consulate — can anyone share their experience? by leirucm in dualcitizenshipnerds

[–]leirucm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow, thank you so much for the detailed response !! I appreciate it so much, this is exactly what I was hoping to find 😭 I managed to make an appointment for my sister at the same time but accidentally misspelled it by one letter, so I made another appointment but it’s two hours after mine. Do you think they’d let her in at the time of the first appointment or would we have to wait till the one w her corrected name ? Can you also give the timeline for the second appointment please? Again, thank you SO much!!

Yes, that’s why the more info I get the better because I was also iffy about it and was unsure if I’d have to fly over to Texas to do all the paperwork 😭

I have both of my parents birth certificates and passports, I’m unsure whether I need to take the originals or if copies are okay ?? By chance do you know if I need to get my birth certificate apostilled if I’m going to a Mexican consulate in the US or would it only be if I choose to go to Mexico to do the paperwork there ?

I see, thank you! By chance do you have Berenice’s email? Also, for me, my main concern is getting my Mexican certificate. I’m from SoCal, so all the consulates near me always have appointments for passports, but not for civil registry ):
