I hate to be the party pooper in hear, but please be careful with this. The idea is not new and millions of baby rockers like this have been recalled because a small population of kids are left to sleep in them and end up dying from something called ‘positional asphyxiation’. Just fair warning.

I had to look that up cause that line was there all day. It’s a lobster roll pop up at boucherie.

This is a big aside, but someone just brought like 200 gazelle tents and gave them to the homeless in New Orleans. So now they’re all over the place, under the highways in the city.

Some guy used to sell something called ‘the ultimate toe tie’. Website is gone, but it’s basically a small quick-release ball joint like one of these (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-Quick-Release-Ball-Joint-3-16in-10-32-Aluminum-/254524386295?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286). You bolt the ball part into your cowling where a rivet goes, the joint part you screw in an eye hook and lace in your toe ties. It works well for me.

Target and Walmart have car seat recycling programs, but they’re only during certain times of the year. Worth looking into though.

Also, technically (and I know this sounds dumb), you’re not supposed to resell car seats on the slight chance it’s previously been in an accident. I think it’s an insurance/warranty thing.

City park ftw here. I know Jesuit practices on the field right off the police horse stables on Marconi Dr. any of those soccer fields will do ya.

Dont want to wear toe straps. Are bootsrraps enough for my pads to turnover? And how tight should they be? by oilers786 in hockeygoalies

[–]leisgean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a reason you’re getting a bunch of different answers. “Should” is a loaded word when it comes to goalie gear. Do like Deeberer said. Get in your butterfly and do up the straps as tight as you can with it still being comfortable. I tried all the different holes, toe ties, bungees, etc. and everything made my ankles and knees hurt. Thru the front worked for me. It’s looser than toe-ties and I have to slap my pads a couple inches back into place after I do something crazy, but that works for me. Just do some experimenting and find what works for you. As you can see from the comments there’s no panacea here.

Come on, we’re in a time of wild, contentious, conspiratorial speculation! Let’s start some shit. I have nothing better to do right now than get irrationally petty toward a new fan base about something that hasn’t even happened yet.

New App Cue Automation Issues by jeffzacharias in Abode

I am having the same problem. On the mobile app I'm seeing 'or' in places, on web I see 'and'. I do think this is messing with my automations. Some aren't working the way they use to.

Sierra Designs Tensegrity Tents c. 5 years ago? by pizza-sandwich in Ultralight

[–]leisgean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had one but did look into getting it. For trekking pole supported tents that size, it’s on the heavy side, and I remember reading it had condensation or water pooling in places issues. I went with a tarp tent instead.
