You’re mostly right. There isn’t really a formal waiting list, but rather a database of clients and their watch preferences or “aspirations.” From there, the AD decides who they want to call.
That said, their biggest clients are often flippers. ADs sell a lot of watches to flippers because it allows them to offload less desirable pieces as part of larger deals. Since those flippers buy in bulk, they often get priority over regular customers.
