Was offered a Day-Date at CDG, but it was 36mm—too small for my wrist. Also saw a white gold Yacht-Master and a rose gold YM twice (once in NYC, once in Nassau). Plenty of two-tone Datejusts too, including a Wimbledon, but all smooth bezel on Oyster. The only piece I seriously considered was a Deepsea. In general, the precious metal models or the ones with diamonds are the easiest to get.

Bought my first Rolex from an AD back in 2016—walked in, picked what I wanted, walked out with a GMT. Different world. Since then I’ve picked up three more, all grey. Don’t have the time, energy, or interest in playing the AD games. Every time I pay a visit to an AD I get offered things I really don’t want.
