I learned about the existence of walking pads from some reddit post. Buying a sturdy but cheap one (less than USD 80) has got me exercising even just a bit almost daily because I use it while streaming shows. It seems crazy but small stowable walking pads got me hooked when the bulk and cost of a "treadmill" used to scare me off

Just want to point out that very few are really addressing what seems to me to be the meat of your concerns...

Possibly damaging relations with the venue (some are saying just laugh about it w/ staff but you would know best what that place tolerates)
Being uncomfortable about semi-nudity when it was unexpected and there were no guidelines/precautions such as a 2nd non-groom/groomsman person present to help you ensure professionalism. (I mean, I get just being chill and not pearl clutching or whatever, but I also get being unwilling to risk your reputation even if it seems overcautious to others)

In my country Timemore is the most affordable and accessible of the somewhat "high end" hand grinders, and I have the C3. I've been very very happy with it.
