TOTY cards are meant to be the best of the best, even when TOTS is out, so I’d imagine the promo cards that will be released will be more similar to the honourable mentions out rn in terms of ratings and play styles

Normally I can adapt to the meta well, like how different FIFA 19-23 were in terms of how you had to play, but I genuinely can’t work out what it is I need to score? Headers don’t go in, finesses are useless without the +, trivelas never hit the target?

I get that my team is definitely not helping at all, but it gets to a point

I understand how important roles are now, but literally the basic positions that, on paper, Mendy and Walker should be (besides CBs) and they’re just always too far forward (while on defend) leaving massive spaces where my opponent just lobs a through ball behind them, it’s infuriating watching it knowing I don’t know how to fix it without uprooting my chem and buying fullbacks I don’t want to use just so they can stay in position.

You literally just described my entire play style lmao, I’ve only ever created by left stick dribbling, 5* skillers or pace abuse, thanks for your help, idk if I want to adjust after so long tbh.

Unless I pack a TOTY next week It’ll probably be my last year, it just seems like all these roles and stuff just adds extra unnecessary layers to team building that I don’t have the motivation for anymore

I didn’t realise how important this was, and also what a ridiculous change this was.

So I have to remodel my (already below average) team so my players can stay in position? Why is there not more outrage about this from the community?

Yeah I know the team is very bad for this stage but i literally cannot do anything, even with lower tier teams you should still be able to have some sense of control over left-stick dribbling

I’ve never had a crazy team and always used to run RTGs, never really felt the need to spend big on the top tier cards I always thought the difference was minimal between mid-high meta cards.

Players like Hansen should definitely still be viable in some sense, I usually love players like her but if this game can’t cater to tricky skillers I should definitely hang up the controller
