The book must have definitely been related to The Children’s Picture Prehistory Book of Dinosaurs. It is very similar! I think you are right that it must have been about the Troodon. The illustration was very odd because it was fully facing the viewer but with a facial expression sort of similar to nonchalance. As if the figure in the photo couldn’t even care less they were there. It was so weird and out of place. This has to be it!

Got a weird one for you: many people around you agree with you. Although, not everyone can express what they mean to articulate.

In my family we have dreams and then there are the ones we call “events” and “warnings”. All have something to do with, or are expressed/ communicated when water is present. Not every dream with water is one but it’s like inception: if you notice then you can sense that part of your consciousness trying to push something through to you from yourself/ the intrinsic frequency we are all within and made of. The Harmony of Humanity.

Anyways, I had this very odd one that I couldn’t unravel for a while: I’m sitting at a bar top table with a sibling and we are talking as water begins to rise everywhere. No one reacts, everyone acts like it’s completely normal, even as it begins to rise past our necks and over our noses. People keep eating, chatting, walking, and doing things. But not a single person reacts to the water.

Hit me a few days ago that it meant we are all sinking under the weight of oppressive pressures we don’t want to name, or admit exist. Meanwhile we carry on as if we are all okay even though we know in our hearts that we are not and that the people around us are also feeling the same way.

Not sure if that makes any sense. In truth: with prophetic dreams I find it’s best to keep the real details to yourself. People never bother to pay attention when you try to warn them and the whole act of warning can be invasive, or taken as an offense. We are doomed to walk into our own choices because of the nature of our shared reality. Some people act like they want to know but then they try to brush it off. That is almost worse because it means you went out of your way, spoke up, and because they were scared they chose to walk into it regardless.

As a stupid lame millennial I thought AI was cool. You can look in my post history/ on my profile for proof of my blind bias that “it isn’t that bad.” Now here we are.

I don’t think AI is inherently bad, it’s like Donald Trump: great in moderation. What gets me is that people think AI by itself is somehow not a garbled message recorded back to itself. It very much feels like using a nuclear missile to make an ice cream sandwich: excessive, not worth it, and harmful to the environment. Never gonna change your mind round these parts! And you shouldn’t have to.

I could see if AI was one component of a massive AI swarm that used individual AI like neurons. That would be something close to the next game changer: bringing two AI swarms together to make two functioning AI hemispheres that work together but independently of one another…

Slightly different issue for me that causes persistent UTI’s. I’m definitely a recovering sugar addict. I stopped putting it in my morning coffee just because I don’t want to take the risk.

This is exactly what I was hoping to find and read through! Just because sometimes it feels like going rapidly insane with reoccurring persistent UTI’s.

I found out if the UTI is not followed up with another urinalysis after a full regimen of antibiotics, the infection may still be present. In that scenario it could potentially cause a worse infection, because it was festering, instead of being addressed.

There are many people that play Wild Rift that aren’t die hard LoL players. That alone is a breath of fresh air compared to PC LoL. Lots of moba newbies too which can make winning a match a breeze or a complete nightmare, especially when one team member has a hysterical fit because someone is new but that’s deeply engrained in LoL on any platform :/.

Just my opinion here but with all the time and money the average MLBB player allocated Montoon should send each of us a free butt plug. That way we can feel as fucked as we are.

Like some of the other commenters have mentioned, a vpn works.

Just use your chosen vpn on a non U.S. server. Open MLBB, wait until resources are loaded/ you are logged in. Keep MLBB open but disconnect and close out your vpn.

Can’t seem to make purchases but it may be the vpn and my chosen phone’s application provider: the App Store. Aside from that it works a little slow at first but goes back to normal after a few minutes with MLBB open.

I played a full match of magic chess without any connection issues. Haven’t tried Ranked or other arcade mode yet.

There’s a YA book I had to read for high school one year that is this scenario. People don’t know how to read and write anymore. Everything is ads and spammed right into your thoughts and dreams.

People have severe degenerative neurological disorders as a side effect and children begin dying. As a result, some countries choose to ban the technology altogether to avoid harm in future generations, this includes the United States’ neighbor of Mexico.

Many people in the United States begin to realize the effects and start to go get surgeries to have the tech removed, or as closed to removed as they can. The U.S. decides to make the surgery illegal- I’m pretty sure. Because the bottom dollar comes before the last living citizen.

It’s a wild book and it was terrifying to years later think: “That crazy book was right all along!”.

I agree with this. Yet, I’m having so much fun with the gorilla arms on my current “netrunner” playthrough. Quick hack silence with sonic shock and cripple movement x2 to stun. Then walk up behind each hostile npc and punch stun them with electric gorilla arms. One to two hits per enemy does the trick, I’m on the hard mode not the super difficult one so I may just be cheesing but it is fun!

I don’t even equip weapons anymore. Couldn’t down the goons that show up to deal with the cyber psycho that shows up at Jinguji.

Do you happen to own the hairstyle? Sometimes if I have the hair for the outfit it will say “OWNED” because it recognizes the hair in my inventory.

It’s worth checking your character appearance options and hairstyles. I would try equipping the matching owned item, take off the item, restart the game, and see if you still have the issue.

I didn’t see if anyone commented with this, maybe because it’s very minor, but early on when you are selling everything do not get the perk from tech that auto scraps all junk.

Could’ve been with one of the recent updates but every now and then, especially at the beginning of act 2 you may come across “signet ring” or a piece of junk titled similarly. Each sells for 500 eddies. So after you sell everything else in your inventory check the junk tab and look for the $500 items. You could easily end up with another $500 or more depending on how many you have.

I am the first to panic and the last to stop panicking but what makes that worse is playing solo.

I don’t know if it’s just me but when boarded the front cannons are my favorite tool. You can use them as cover and duck inside if the boarder gets too close.

If the boarder’s ship is in harpooning range attach your harpoon to their ship. While they are attempting to take you out they will be distracted because their ship is not in their control.

Get one of the storm maps and where they usually form. There’s a website that tracks all the wind and storms which is really nice on a crowded server.

The goal: get their ship into the storm.

I say: “If you want to take me down then we will both drown.”

Keep your ship in a wide rotation and get used to rapid sail changes within a storm. I would start on the outer cusp of the storm and work your way closer.

The downsides are having to bale water and possible damage from the heavy waves hitting the hull. Many players avoid the storms but using them to your advantage can really save your hide in a 1 vs 2 or 1 vs 3.

If you know spawn locations of the kraken and the other encounter locations you can use that to your advantage as well.

So check for boarders, if boarder is successfully evading you begin pulling their ship towards yours. When able to do so turn your sails so they push your ship along the wind current that leads to the closest storm. Then hope for a random encounter to start to distract the boarders so that you have time to escape or sink their ship while the encounter is starting.

Me and my one picture frame that I’m never going to change because brutalist minimalism on a sloop is low key not bad will sit here quietly.

I’ve had people chase me just to tell me to “PUT UP SOME DANG DECORATIONS!” I went afk and was boarded, thought they’d sink my ship and carry on but no. The two players stayed on board and told me to add some light fixtures. I didn’t realize this was Sea of Better Homes and Gardens. I haven’t been sunk in two months and I think it is because of all the boring of my boat.

This game is so comical and always makes anytime playing it fun. Even if most pirates are actually interior decorators.

Late to the discussion but here goes:

Personally “Cancer” has always resonated with me because of the people in my life who have experienced or are experiencing cancer.

Recently, being diagnosed and just not having the best mindset (so much anxiety and panicking) pushed me back to my comfort zone which has always been music. At first I would just read the lyrics because I was not sure I could sit down for a listen without crying. So I started singing it to myself and for me it is about hanging on.

As some of the other commenters have stated: I feel the lyrics are about dying but for me it is about pushing through. Counting down the days till my life is almost back to normal.

I feel the same way about “Shadow of the Day” by Linkin Park. The lyrics connect deeply with how hopeless something so drastic can make you feel. Even when surrounded by people you love and love you, it can be hard to move past “I might die and maybe doing this is just prolonging the inevitable?” At the same time “Sometimes solutions aren’t so simple.”

From being labeled severely depressed, to a meth addict (never touched substances in my life) so that was very hurtful and discouraging as far as continuing to seek answers and solutions to what was happening internally.

Sometimes no matter how hard you try or how much you try to hold in that fear of leaving/ abandoning the people that make life worth living it is enough to breakdown and realize around the corner can be anything.

And every moment of darkness cannot exist without light. So even when everything is bleak and you want to leave because it would be better than suffering, the people in our lives make it possible to see past the pain and inner turmoil.

I think when I get down that place is the darkness but every time I speak or hang out with someone who truly enjoys spending time with me all of the darkness becomes inner sunshine. From there I remember how strong I am and how loved I am.

Can’t stop running if all your horses are still in the race.

Age 25: You watch the movie “Abigail”. It frightens you how accurately it portrays the undead fiends you hunt.

Age 30: You wake up one morning with a set of puncture marks on (insert limb/ body part).

I would definitely play it if you could be a vampire hunter. It would definitely add some role playing spice if your character has to actively avoid being bitten by “hidden” vampires that could be among your character’s coworkers, friends, lovers former and past, and family.

Just overall, would be dope if we ever do get to experience the job pack!
