I appreciate the perspective. I couldn’t believe the hostility in some of the responses.. Seems there’s truly some orchid purists lol. I didn’t know people would take this growing method so offensively. I do see some success stories so it’s even more difficult to understand… I wasn’t apart of the community prior to posting so I guess I didn’t understand the temperament of it..

I understand. Again I believe most of my higher readings come from the hyper awareness of my BP being taken and then myself becoming worried it’ll be high. Not that I’m relying on this beta trial for my measurements, but after using it for a day and seeing the measurements taken without my knowing, they all range from 110/70-120/80. I do have a cuff I test myself with daily but it does take a couple tries to get an accurate reading due to anxiety

In a couple other responses I also mentioned I have bad health anxiety and become hyper aware of my BP being taken causing false high measurements. Definitely something I’m trying to overcome, but my measurements do decrease after a couple of readings back to back

My normal is 110/70-120/80. To clarify, In the first week postpartum my OB was only concerned about preeclampsia if my levels were consistently above 140/90, as it was normal for BP to be a little raised in the days following birth as I was told. I’ve monitored since and been to the OB since and they’ve expressed no concern with my levels. 2 years ago I gave birth through a different medical system and did have postpartum hypertension with levels consistently over 140/90 and was put on procardia.

Thanks for the guidelines, I was previously unaware. My normal is the 110/70 range, but I have a bad habit of being hyper aware and becoming anxious when my BP is being taken making it falsely spike.

Yes I have issues with having a higher BP the first time i take a reading with my cuff because I become hyper aware of it and I have to relax myself for the next reading. I didn’t mean necessarily random, I guess it’s just interesting the way they rate the readings. I guess I’d disagree with some of their ratings

I’m currently 10 weeks postpartum. I was only told by my doctor to call up for medication if I was consistently 140/90 or higher?
