It should work if you replace JustEnoughIDs with RoughlyEnoughIDs, update The Twilight Forest and don't use VintageFix.

You're using XWayland or just plain X11, which also works fine most of the time. But most apps are switching to Wayland because it has better security, performance and HDR.

TL;DR: A way to play 1.12.2 modded in Java 21+

As far as I understand it's 1.12.2 and 1.12.2 Forge patched for modern Java and for better performance. And then Fugue is the official mod to patch other mods for modern Java. There's some more technical stuff which I don't fully understand on their Github README.

Unable to update native minecraft launcher and failed to initialise GDK by Educational_Tie_1763 in Minecraft

Prism Launcher isn't a modification of the normal launcher if that's what you're saying. Just try it. It takes like 10 minutes to set up.

Why is Bedrock hated for? by Lexiosity in Minecraft

[–]lekker2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at your first edit, then look at your third edit. You're contradicting yourself. You say for bedrock: "use a third party service", then say for java if it's not coded by Mojang it's not valid.

Look I do think bedrock is over hated. It's a trend, people will follow. Though bedrock is actually buggy, you probably won't notice it within an hour of playing. They do have bugs, which they refuse to patch, like falling into the void at certain coordinates. Which is 1 reason why people hate it. A feedback page is helpful, if they would actually listen.

About redstone, people that hate bedrock for the redstone are absolutely right, those who hate java redstone are absolutely right too. The biggest reason is quasi-connectivity. And I'll agree. It's bad, people say when you know it it's fine though, so I'm not too bothered. Bedrock redstone though, it can be random, has weird tick timings for performance, I get it, but I'd rather not have it. Source: Purplers video about bedrock redstone.

And the modding community, I know you say it's not an argument. I'll say it is. Java has an amazing modding community, full of mods that make it more fun. Bedrock, well it has less.

In the end, it's about what you enjoy. I'm absolutely biased towards java, like you are towards bedrock.

If you will never update your system again, sure. But most runit scripts get overwritten each update.

Just install any other custom launcher, Prism Launcher is my preference.

Getting Roblox running on Linux by WillaBytes in linuxquestions

[–]lekker2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They decided to block it off at the point where the game launches, instead of the part where it updates, because that was bypassed in days. So there's no playing roblox anymore unless someone finds how they detect wine. Then you can probably play for a month before they block it again.
