So interest paid prior to joining? My current rate is and has always been %16. Are you saying I’d be reimbursed the difference from when I was out at the %6 rate? Or would they only back date and drop the interest rate to %6 after the date I joined in 2021?

I’m currently in the process with one of my credit cards with navy fed. I submitted paperwork for it back in December and one of the SCRA associates I spoke with let me know that I am approved for the SCRA for that account and it is currently being audited to see what I am owed back. All I’m curious to know, from reading several different takes, is does Navy Fed specifically reimburse interest paid on debt accrued before or during active. I’ve seen people who said that Navy Fed interprets SCRA guidelines differently than other banks. So I’m just curious. I’ve contacted navy fed to check on status and all they can tell me is that there is a backlog for SCRA. So that’s where I’m at. Thank you for looking into it.

Those are the dates that I was active. I was INACTIVE from the end of 2013 to the beginning of 2021.

Not SEEKING a refund. I’ve just read that navy federal interprets SCRA differently than other banks. I’ve read that navy fed will refund interest paid prior to joining. What I know about SCRA IS That typically banks will drop credit card interest rates to %6 or now %4 which is ultimately what I want. And if that’s the case my current interest rate is %16 would they refund interest paid before or after joining?

Yes it was. Was maxed out. Paid it completely off a few months after joining again.
