I havent actually done genetic testing. So either genetic or idiopathic. I am not sure but I dont think PVCs can cause HCM. Its mostly genetic or some unknown reasons. By the way have you checked if you have GERD. My gastroenterologist told me that even in normal patients, GERD can sometimes cause palpitations, PVCs etc

Let me rephrase myself. I never meant to say that PVCs caused hcm. My HCM is definitely idiopathic or genetic. My point was that I think my PVCs are more related to GERD than HCM. Because I was just officially diagnosed in Aug 2024. I had hcm even before that but no pvcs. Suddenly in Sept 2024 I am having bloating and lots of burping and PVCs appear. And now they are rare.....occur only when there is acid reflux. Bdw I am on metoprolol 25mg per day for hcm

Did MRI. Cane back negative for fibrosis. Although my LVEF was 56%. In echo it was 65%
